The scorching heat has passed and the ‘Guro G Festival’ is back. It is Guro-gu’s representative festival held for three days with Anyangcheon as the backdrop.
Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced that the ‘2024 Guro G Festival’ will be held for three days from September 27 to 29. The ‘SMART Garden Light Festival’ will be held for one month from September 26 to October 26.

The festival’s promotion direction was set as △a festival that changes and grows together with residents, △a festival where people and technology coexist in harmony, and △a festival of cultural exchange between the region and the world, and it was organized in a more enriching way.
Regarding this year’s festival, the district said, “It will be an even more exciting festival with content utilizing 4th industrial revolution technologies hidden throughout, such as robot demonstrations, holograms, augmented reality (AR) interactive experience zones, and creative convergence competitions,” and explained, “We wanted to increase accessibility and usability by incorporating smart technologies into the enjoyable festival site.”

The food market introduced card payment, immediately improving inconveniences raised by visitors at last year’s festival.
In addition, you can enjoy festivals full of things to see in one place, such as the Smart Garden Light Festival, French Culture Festival, Guro Garden Festa, and Guro Book Festival, and the Guro Carbon Zero Walking Event, Guro-gu 4th Industrial Revolution Creative Convergence Competition, flea market, and local specialty product exchange market are also held.
Ahead of the official opening, the Smart Garden Light Festival will begin with a lighting ceremony at 7 PM on the 26th.
This year’s light festival has introduced technological elements such as media façades with the theme of ‘SMART Garden’ and has prepared a photo zone with the concept of ‘travel’. It also presents various things to see in conjunction with the Guro Garden Festa and the French Culture Festival.

Starting with the lighting ceremony on this day, a fantastic world of light will unfold at Anyangcheon Ecological Garden with various contents for a month until October 26th.
The three-day festival will feature a variety of performances that can be enjoyed by all ages.
First, the official opening ceremony will be held on the Anyangcheon Main Stage at 7 PM on the 27th, the first day of the festival. Starting with the Citizens’ Award Ceremony, popular singers such as Ailee, Ali, Jung Dong-ha, and Na Sang-do will all be on hand to captivate the eyes and ears of the audience with splendid performances.
The evening of the 28th, the second day, is also worth noting. A resident autonomy program presentation is scheduled from 6 PM to 8:30 PM, and soon after, the ‘outdoor DJ performance’ by DJ SEFO and rapper ROBBIN will fill the main stage of Gocheok Bridge with excitement.
The highlight of the festival will be the ‘TOP10 Song Show 2024 Guro G Festival Special Broadcast’ held from 6:30 PM to 10 PM on the 29th, where top singers such as Park Ji-hyun, Kim Da-hyun, Park Seo-jin, and Chu Hyuk-jin will perform on stage. The fireworks that follow the last stage will mark the end of the festival.

A food market that adds to the enjoyment of the festival will be held at Anyangcheon A Soccer Stadium from 10 AM to 10 PM for three days from the 27th to the 29th.
In addition, the Makeguro Art Market (water park/3 days, 12:00-21:00), Local Specialty Product Exchange Market (water park/3 days, 12:00-21:00), and Children’s Theme Park (inline skating rink/3 days, 12:00-21:00) will be operated to add to the fun and excitement of the festival.
A Guro-gu official said, “We are making full preparations so that you can create fun and happy memories with your family, friends, and loved ones at Guro’s representative festival,” adding, “We hope for your interest and participation.”
