Haedoedo Library, 2024 Second Half Theme Humanities Classics Special Lecture

Yeonsu-gu ( District Mayor Lee Jae-ho ) will host the Haedoedo Library, operated by Yeonsu-gu , for local residents starting on the 19th of next month, in collaboration with Incheon National University’s College of Humanities, a Themed Humanities Classics Special Lecture for the second half of 2024 .

It will be held five times every Thursday at 3 PM from September 19th to October 24th at the Haedoji Hall on the 2nd floor of Haedoji Library under the theme of Imaginary Journey through Travelogues .

This special lecture is expected to be a time to look back at five books, including Gulliver’s Travels , Around the World in Eighty Days , Jehol Diary , A Crossroads of Korean Religious Culture , and Italian Travelogue, from a humanistic perspective .

This special lecture, which began in 2016 with the signing of an MOU between Yeonsu-gu Public Library and Incheon National University’s College of Humanities, has continued to spread humanities within the local community and provide quality cultural and artistic programs .

Any adult interested in travel and humanities can participate, and applications can be submitted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Yeonsu-gu Public Library website ( https://www.yspubliclib.go.kr/ ) starting at 10:00 AM on Wednesday the 28th .
