Incheon Metropolitan City Jung-gu Volunteer Center announced on August 21 that it had carried out a ‘organization and storage volunteer activity’ to improve the living environment of a senior citizen living alone in Sinheung-dong. This activity was carried out at the request of Sinheung-dong Administrative Welfare Center, who said that the senior citizen was having difficulty organizing and tidying up the house due to a compression fracture in the lumbar spine.

In this volunteer activity, in which 7 members of the organizing and storage volunteer group participated, they visited the elderly’s home in advance to discuss the necessary services, and then cleaned up the household waste accumulated throughout the house, rearranged furniture, removed stains, and organized items and clothes, etc. through various activities to create a pleasant living environment.

Volunteer Choi Gyu-young said, “I am very proud to be able to help seniors in poor environments live in a more comfortable environment,” and added, “I will continue to actively participate in helping our neighbors in need together with the members.”
