Suji-gu, City Council Members Discuss Next Year's Business

Suji-gu, Yongin Special City, announced on the 26th that it held a meeting with local city council members in the district office conference room on the 23rd to discuss the status of Suji-gu’s major projects this year and the direction of next year’s budget compilation. At the meeting, it was requested that the city council secure a budget and cooperate to smoothly promote major projects next year, such as road construction and pedestrian system improvement.

On the 23rd, Suji-gu, Yongin Special City held a meeting with local city council members in the district office conference room to share the progress of the district’s major projects and discuss the direction of next year’s budget compilation. The meeting was attended by 12 city council members, including Suji-gu Mayor Lee Young-min and Yongin Special City Council Vice Chairman Lee Chang-sik, and 10 district department heads.

At the meeting, Suji-gu Office explained major projects for next year, including road construction and road repaving projects planned for the areas of Jukjeon 2-dong, Dongcheon-dong, and Seongbok-dong, improvement of the pedestrian system, installation of safety facilities to prevent accidents at intersections, and improvement of bus stop environments. The district office requested budgetary support and cooperation from the city council so that these projects can proceed smoothly.

Vice-Chairman Lee Chang-sik said, “The city council will also actively support the development of Suji-gu,” and “We will contribute to the district administration’s activities so that various projects taking place in the region can proceed without a hitch.”

Suji-gu District Mayor Lee Young-min said, “This meeting was a meaningful opportunity for the council and the district office to form a consensus to quickly resolve local issues and promote regional development,” and emphasized, “We will continue to make efforts to share and communicate about projects being promoted by the district in the future.”
