Incheon Namdong-gu Ganseok 3- dong Administrative Welfare Center announced on the 26th that it had carried out a project to improve the living environment for single -person isolated households together with Incheon Namdong Regional Self-Reliance Center .

This project was carried out by an integrated case manager who intervened in a 70 -year-old single elderly person whose living environment was vulnerable, after discovering it through monitoring and consulting on single elderly households receiving welfare .

After assessing the level of crisis and giving consent, Dong asked the Community Care Division of Incheon Namdong Regional Self-Reliance Center to help improve the living environment by cleaning, disposing of trash , and organizing storage .

Afterwards, for several years, the elderly person had been living alone without any interaction with his family or those around him, and was feeling helpless and helpless in maintaining hygiene , health, and daily life. He applied for a long-term care level and was connected to a caregiver .

In addition , we have provided additional support for replacing circuit breakers and light bulbs to eliminate the risk of electric leakage , home appliances and household items , and pest control work , and we plan to link up necessary services such as continuous health monitoring and support for housekeeping .

The Community Care Business Unit has been providing services such as organizing and cleaning to improve the living environment of vulnerable groups requested by administrative welfare centers since 2019 , and 12 people work as a team .

Director Kim Yong-man said, I would like to thank the Community Care Business Group for carrying out the project with a bright attitude despite difficult conditions and poor working environments in order to resolve the crisis of vulnerable households. He added, We will continue to pay attention so that generations in need can regain their smiles in a new environment through continued cooperation .
