Youth Basic Income 3rd Quarter Applications Open

Siheung City (Mayor Lim Byeong-taek) will be accepting applications for the ‘2024 3rd Quarter Youth Basic Income’ from August 29 to September 30.

The Youth Basic Income is a youth support policy that provides 250,000 won per quarter, or up to 1 million won in local currency, to 24-year-old youth over 4 quarters.

Applicants for the 3rd quarter must be 24 years of age (born between July 2, 1999 and July 1, 2000) registered as residents of Siheung City as of the date of application, and must meet the requirement of having resided in Gyeonggi Province for at least 3 consecutive years or a total of 10 years.

Applicants for the youth program can sign up online at the Gyeonggi-do job platform Jobaba ( https://apply.jobaba.net/ ) and apply. When applying, you must attach a copy of your resident registration issued after August 29th. However, if you use the ‘Public My Data Service’, a mobile phone authentication service on the application page, you do not need to attach any additional documents, making it convenient.

Those receiving basic livelihood security can receive youth basic income in a lump sum (KRW 1 million) by attaching proof of eligibility.

The young people who have been selected as recipients of the basic youth income after age and residency requirements screening will be sequentially paid Siheung currency Siru (mobile) starting October 20. In order to receive mobile Siru, you must install the <Local Gift Certificate Chak> app on your own mobile phone. The app can be downloaded from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone).

Siru can be used freely at any Siru affiliated stores in Siheung, and Siru affiliated stores can be checked through the mobile Siru application (local gift certificate chak) or the Siru website.
