Discussion of local issues through meetings with city and provincial council members in Giheung-gu

Yongin Special City Giheung-gu announced on the 25th that it held meetings with local provincial and city council members on the 20th and 22nd to discuss the district’s major issues and projects and requested support for this year’s supplementary budget and next year’s budget. Various projects related to the convenience of residents’ lives, such as the reorganization of major roads and hiking trails and the repaving of the Singalcheon bicycle path, were discussed at the meetings.

Yongin Special City Giheung-gu held a meeting with local city and provincial council members on the 20th and 22nd to discuss the district’s major projects and pending issues. At the meeting held on the 20th, Gyeonggi Provincial Council Giheung-gu local council members and Giheung-gu Mayor Hwang Gyu-seop and other district officials attended and requested cooperation to secure this year’s special adjustment grant and ensure that the district’s major projects proceed smoothly.

In particular, former officials explained the projects necessary for the development of Giheung-gu and emphasized the urgent need for support in the supplementary budget and next year’s budget. Major projects discussed at the meeting included the reorganization of major roads and hiking trails, the repaving of the Singalcheon bike path, and the installation of red remaining time indicators.

At the city council meeting held on the 22nd, local city council members including Yongin Special City Council Chairman Yoo Jin-seon attended and intensively discussed major achievements by department and major projects to be included in next year’s budget. Chairman Yoo Jin-seon emphasized the need for active communication and cooperation between the district office and the council to improve the quality of life of Giheung-gu residents, and requested that even the smallest voices of residents be carefully reflected.

Giheung-gu Mayor Hwang Gyu-seop said, “I would like to thank the city and provincial council members for their passionate efforts for the development of Giheung-gu,” and added, “We will continue to work closely with the council to resolve local issues and improve the convenience of residents’ lives.”
