'A Midsummer Night's Little Concert' with commentary

The Sinhyeon-dong Residents’ Autonomy Association (Chairman Yoo Seon-woo) held a ‘Midsummer Night’s Small Concert’ at the outdoor stage of Solseop Park in Misan-dong on the 21st.

This concert was planned as a fusion traditional Korean music performance with commentary to provide a cultural event to citizens exhausted from the heat.

The performing team that day, ‘Smile Company’, performed around 10 songs including the movie soundtrack (OST) of the movie ‘The King and the Clown’ and the original song ‘Smile’. The audience who came to the concert were immersed in the beauty and excitement of fusion traditional Korean music while enjoying the performance in the park at sunset.

In addition, the Misan-dong Residents’ Council presented a tasting of their own brewed makgeolli, highballs, and slushies as part of the urban regeneration project. Through the tasting event that day, residents who were tired from the heat were able to enjoy the performance in a more refreshing way.

A citizen who attended this concert expressed great satisfaction with the concert, saying, “I was worried because it was raining and hot, but before the concert started, the rain stopped and I felt refreshed listening to the beautiful music while watching the sunset.”
