2024 Bucheon B-Boying & K-Dance Festival held with B-boys from around the world

The ‘2024 Bucheon B-Boying & K-Dance Festival ‘B-Boys of the World’, hosted by the Bucheon Cultural Foundation (CEO Byeong-Hwan Han), will be held on September 28th and 29th at the Bucheon City Hall lawn plaza and nearby car-free streets.ㅔ This event is Bucheon City’s representative cultural event and will serve as a stage for B-boy and K-dance enthusiasts from all over the world to come together. Entry is free for all event participants, and the Performance Championship will be held on September 28th and the International Breaking Championship will be held on the 29th.

We are currently recruiting participants for the competition, and there are five categories: All-Star Performance, Breaking Battle Solo, Crew Battle, B-Girl Battle, and Kids Battle. Applications for participation are available until September 9th, and this festival is open to everyone who loves B-boying and K-dance.

 

Only teams of 5 to 10 people can apply for the All-Star Performance Contest held on September 28, and the submitted videos will be pre-screened and the team with the highest score will advance to the finals. In the competition, a variety of celebratory performances are prepared, including Pinky Chicks led by Korea’s best choreographer Jay Black, Street Woman Fighter 2 winner Bebe, 2023 World Of Dance LA winners Talk Tok Crew, and Climax Crew.

On September 29th, starting with a spectacular celebration performance by M.B CREW, the 1vs1 Breaking Solo Battle final will be held with 12 invited overseas guests and 4 people who passed the preliminary round. In addition, a B-girl 1vs1 battle in which overseas guests are invited and a Kids Breaking Battle in which all participants born between 2007 and 2017 can apply will also be held. In particular, the 5vs5 crew battle is expected to capture the attention of audiences with more spectacular techniques and dynamic movements.

 

The total prize money of the festival is 40 million won, and in the All-Star Performance category, 1st place will receive 7 million won and 2nd place will receive 3 million won. In the Breaking Battle Solo category, 1st place will receive 7 million won and 2nd place will receive 3 million won, and in the Crew Battle category, 1st place will receive 10 million won and 2nd place will receive 5 million won. In the B-girl category, 1st place will receive 2 million won, 2nd place will receive 1 million won, and in the Kids category, 1st place will receive 1 million won, 2nd place will receive 500,000 won, and 3rd and 4th place will each receive 250,000 won.

 

During both days of the event, various experience programs such as disposable tattoos and hair styling will be held on car-free streets, and on the 28th, a K-pop random play dance that anyone can participate in will be held.
