Five cultural cities connected along Line 1, Traveling exhibition presented

– An exhibition containing the city stories of 15 artists from Bucheon, Bupyeong, Suwon, Yeongdeungpo, and Uijeongbu From September 30 to November 6, the five cultural cities of Bucheon, Bupyeong, Suwon, Yeongdeungpo, and Uijeongbu will hold the traveling exhibition <Cityscape, City Walker> to exchange contemporary sensibilities and local culture.

This exhibition is co-hosted by cultural foundations in five cities and was planned as part of ‘Culture Line 1’, an urban exchange project between Culture City Bucheon, Culture City Bupyeong, Culture City Suwon, Culture City Yeongdeungpo, and Culture City Uijeongbu. A cultural city is a policy project of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism that refers to a city designated to utilize local cultural resources to promote sustainable regional development and promote the cultural life of local residents.

Fifteen artists, including Kwon Ji-young, Kim Soo-cheol, Song Gyeong-hoon, Son Min-seok, and Lee Myung-sook, selected through a public contest, present works containing the stories of each city, showing the inner stories of the cities and the city as a space of life in the five cities connected along Subway Line 1. It shows the past, present, and future of The traveling exhibition

<Cityscape, City Walker> is an exhibition that shares contemporary sensibilities through the works of artists who experience and express the city, and exchanges the culture of each region and life in the city.

This exhibition began at Bucheon City (Boksagol Culture Center Gallery) from September 30th to October 4th, at the Bupyeong Living Culture Center Multipurpose Hall from October 7th to October 12th, and at the Suwon Complex from October 16th to October 20th. It will be held at Cultural Space 111CM, Yeongdeungpo LES601 Seonyu from October 24 to October 28, and Uijeongbu Cultural Station from October 31 to November 6. Admission is free.

In particular, it is hoped that works containing urban landscapes, ranging from two-dimensional works to media works and installation works, will capture scenes of the region and daily life from various angles, create urban functions and cultural values, and expand the enjoyment of culture by city residents.
