Professor Jaeseung Jeong of KAIST invited to special lecture on brain science

Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced on the 28th that it will invite Professor Jeong Jae-seung of KAIST Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences to give a special lecture on brain science at the ‘2024 3rd After-Work School’ on September 20th. This lecture will be held for free from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Yongin ARPI Event Hall in Jukjeon-dong, Suji-gu, and any Yongin citizen or local office worker can participate. A total of 120 people can attend this lecture through advance registration and on-site registration, and the theme is ‘Gaining Reflection on Life from Brain Science’.

Yongin Special City announced that it will invite Professor Jaeseung Jeong of the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at KAIST to give a special lecture on brain science at the ‘2024 3rd After-Work School’ to be held at the Yongin Arpia Event Hall from 7:30 PM to 9 PM on September 20th. Professor Jaeseung Jeong is a physicist who studies ‘How does the human brain make choices?’ He is well known to the public through the TvN entertainment program ‘Know Your Facts’ and has published numerous books including ‘Science Concert’, ‘Twelve Footsteps’, and ‘Jaeseung Jeong’s Human Exploration Report’.

This special lecture is provided free of charge to Yongin citizens and local office workers, and a total of 120 people can attend, including 60 who pre-register and 60 who register on-site. Pre-registration is available from 10:00 AM on September 6 through the Yongin City Lifelong Learning Center website, and on-site registration will be held on a first-come, first-served basis from 6:20 PM to 7:20 PM on the day of the lecture.

In this lecture, Professor Jeong will have time to reexamine the inner self and the relationship with others through brain science under the theme of ‘Getting Reflection on Life from Brain Science’. Through this, the attendees will have the opportunity to understand the origin of human behavior and choice and, based on this, seek a better direction for life.

Yongin Special City expects that this lecture will be an opportunity to inform citizens of the importance and interest in brain science, and plans to invite experts from various fields in the future to provide citizens with useful knowledge.
