Changnyeong County (Governor Seong Nak-in) announced on the 21st that it will begin a full-scale dementia prevention project using an artificial intelligence cognitive care app in order to respond to the entry into a super-aged society and the continuous increase in dementia patients.

This project aims to support local residents to easily practice dementia prevention activities in their daily lives, while also providing systematic care services.
The cognitive care app is designed to be easily accessible to anyone, and can be installed simply by logging in to KakaoTalk. The main functions of the app include various activities that help prevent dementia, such as △online dementia screening, △AI companion service, △step counting, and △problem solving.
In addition, we provide care services such as ▲designating a guardian ▲medication reminders to help dementia patients and their families maintain a more stable daily life.
In particular, this app strengthens communication within the community by providing a platform where local residents can share and practice dementia prevention activities with each other, and effectively supports cognitive health management services linked to the Changnyeong-gun Dementia Care Center.
Through this, the role of local communities in preventing and managing dementia is expected to become more important.

A military official said, “Dementia is an important issue that the entire society must consider together in an aging society. We will do our best to prevent the severe symptoms of dementia patients by establishing a dementia prevention and care system using artificial intelligence technology.”
This dementia prevention project is expected to be an important case in which Changnyeong-gun proactively responds to the problem of dementia and presents a new care model in an aging society.
