Standby power means electricity consumed while a device is not actively being used but remains connected to an outlet. TV-related devices waiting for a remote signal, adapters left plugged in after charging, and some appliances that maintain timer functions can fall into this category.<\/p>\n

The change may not look dramatic at first. That is why many people pass it by, thinking it cannot matter much. But when the same habit is repeated from home to home, the story changes.
