Guro District Office (Mayor Jang In-hong) is now accepting participants for the “Carbon Neutral Companion Mileage” program starting April 21.

The “Carbon Neutral Companion Mileage” is a program designed to encourage voluntary carbon-neutral practices by awarding mileage points to residents who engage in eco-friendly activities in daily life.
Eligible participants include Guro-gu residents and workers in Guro-gu who have signed up for the “On Guro” app, a dedicated mobile platform for carbon-neutral walking activities. Through the app, participants can complete and certify various eco-friendly actions to accumulate points.
Certified activities are divided by frequency as follows:

Daily: 9 items such as using stairs

Weekly: 7 items such as uploading carbon-neutral content on social media

Monthly: 5 items such as attending environmental events

Annually: 21 items such as using personal power-saving multi-tap outlets

Event-based: 4 items such as participating in on/offline zero-carbon walking events
Participants can earn between 100 to 5,000 mileage points per certification, and points can be accumulated up to 50,000 per person, which are redeemable for Guro Love Gift Certificates.
Those interested may install and register on the “On Guro” app and apply via the “Latest Announcements” section on the Guro-gu District Office website.

Mayor Jang In-hong stated, “Carbon neutrality begins with small actions in our everyday lives. Through this program, I hope the culture of practicing carbon neutrality spreads naturally throughout Guro-gu.”
