The Ulsan Fire Headquarters announced that four firefighters who achieved remarkable results in the fields of fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical services, and administration were specially promoted by one rank on November 1, 2025, in recognition of their outstanding service.
The firefighters honored with this special promotion are Park Woo-beom, Kim Min-su, Kim Min-hee, and Kim Jin-gu, who have each dedicated themselves to protecting the lives and safety of citizens. Demonstrating professionalism and responsibility in their respective roles, they have made significant contributions to strengthening public safety in disaster response and administrative operations.

Fire Sergeant Park Woo-beom was promoted from Fire Corporal to Fire Sergeant for his quick and systematic firefighting operations at numerous fire scenes. Fire Corporal Kim Min-su was also promoted to Fire Sergeant for his distinguished service in minimizing casualties through active rescue operations at various disaster sites.
Fire Sergeant Kim Min-hee was promoted to Fire Lieutenant for her achievements in emergency medical services, including infection control, high-quality patient care, and first-aid education. Meanwhile, Fire Sergeant Kim Jin-gu was promoted to Fire Lieutenant for his outstanding work in fire prevention administration, such as the Children’s Fire Safety Contest and the 119 Firefighting Song Festival.
Chief Hong Jang-pyo of the Ulsan Fire Headquarters said,
“We are very proud of the firefighters who have been specially promoted for their dedication to protecting citizens’ safety in various fields. We hope they will continue to serve with a strong sense of duty and do their utmost to safeguard the lives and property of the people.”
