Hi havia un noi.<\/p>\n

Un dia, durant el seu segon any d’institut, va anar a una petita botiga al cim d’un tur\u00f3 per fer un enc\u00e0rrec. Era una petita botiga regentada per una parella gran. A dins, hi havia una noia d’edat similar que semblava buscar alguna cosa, per\u00f2 el noi no hi va parar gaire atenci\u00f3 i va intentar comprar el que necessitava i marxar.<\/p>\n

En aquell moment, la propiet\u00e0ria de la botiga, una senyora gran, va cridar el noi. Li va donar un petit tros de paper i li va demanar que lleg\u00eds el que hi havia escrit.<\/p>\n

A la nota hi deia ‘Miluga’<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

El noi va pensar en una paraula que pogu\u00e9s endevinar. Nom\u00e9s se li va acudir ‘farina’ i va suggerir que potser era farina. La senyora li va agrair, i el noi va tornar a casa.<\/p>\n

No obstant aix\u00f2, no parava de pensar-hi. ‘La propiet\u00e0ria de la botiga probablement sap llegir\u2026’<\/em><\/p>\n

L’endem\u00e0, el noi va tornar a la botiga.<\/p>\n

“El ‘Miluga’ escrit a la nota que em va ensenyar ahir, no el va escriure aquella noia que era a prop de l’entrada?”<\/p>\n

La senyora es va sorprendre i li va preguntar com ho sabia. La noia tenia una discapacitat que li dificultava la comunicaci\u00f3 verbal. Va escriure ‘Miluga’ al paper perqu\u00e8 no podia comunicar-se per comprar una bossa de farina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Aquell dia, el noi va prendre una decisi\u00f3. Si alguna vegada es trobava en posici\u00f3 d’ajudar alg\u00fa, primer ajudaria aquells amb discapacitats f\u00edsiques o sense oportunitats educatives, els m\u00e9s vulnerables socialment.<\/p>\n

35 anys despr\u00e9s<\/h3>\n

Han passat 35 anys. El noi va fundar SmileStory Inc. a Corea del Sud el 2009 i va establir WIA (World Certification Industry Association) a Est\u00f2nia el 2018. Amb la intenci\u00f3 de beneficiar el m\u00f3n amb la tecnologia m\u00e9s avan\u00e7ada de la humanitat, ha estat creant tecnologia per complir aquella promesa.<\/p>\n

WIA Talk<\/strong> \u2014 Una plataforma universal de llengua de signes que permet comunicar-se amb qualsevol persona utilitzant una \u00fanica llengua de signes 3D, sense necessitat d’aprendre diferents lleng\u00fces de signes (ASL, KSL, BSL\u2026) per a cada pa\u00eds. I WIA Braille<\/strong> (wiabraille.com<\/a>) \u2014 Un sistema braille universal basat en l’AFI (Alfabet Fon\u00e8tic Internacional) que permet llegir en 7.000 idiomes un cop apr\u00e8s. Per als sords, hi ha WIA Talk, i per als cecs, hi ha WIA Braille. Quan aquests dos es troben, els sords i els cecs poden comunicar-se directament sense int\u00e8rpret. Aix\u00f2 no s’ha aconseguit encara enlloc.<\/p>\n

La tecnologia est\u00e0 preparada. L’avatar 3D mostra la llengua de signes, mou els llavis de manera sincronitzada i expressa emocions. Per\u00f2 perqu\u00e8 aquest avatar es mogui de manera m\u00e9s natural \u2014 calen dades dels moviments reals de les mans humanes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Han calgut 35 anys. Durant aquest temps, hi deu haver hagut alg\u00fa que se’n va anar sense poder comprar una bossa de farina. Si hagu\u00e9s estat m\u00e9s r\u00e0pid, hauria pogut arribar a una persona m\u00e9s abans.<\/p>\n
