서울특별시교육청(교육감 정근식)은 당뇨병을 앓고 있는 학생들이 안전하게 학교생활을 할 수 있도록 ‘당뇨병 학생 관리 역량 강화 연수’를 11월부터 실시한다고 밝혔다. 이번 연수는 소아청소년 당뇨병 환자의 안전을 보호하고, 교직원들이 응급상황에 대응할 수 있는 역량을 갖추기 위해 마련되었으며, 총 250여 명의 교직원이 참석할 예정이다.
Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Jung Keun-sik) announced a new training program to ensure the safety of diabetic students in school. Starting in November, the program, titled “Diabetes Management Competency Training for Educators,” will involve over 250 school staff members. This training aims to equip teachers with the skills needed to manage emergencies and protect students with diabetes in educational settings.
이번 특화교육은 서울대 어린이병원 전문가의 지도 아래 이루어지며, ‘당뇨병 관리 이해’, ‘저혈당 및 고혈당 대처법’, ‘인슐린 및 글루카곤 주사법 의료 실습’ 등의 과정으로 구성된다. 특히 체육, 보건, 영양, 상담, 담임교사 등 학교 건강증진부 구성원들이 참여해, 당뇨병에 대한 기본적인 이해와 실질적인 응급 대처법을 익히게 된다. 이 과정은 당뇨병 학생들이 겪을 수 있는 응급 상황을 대비하고 건강한 학교생활을 할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 것이다.
The training program, conducted under the guidance of experts from Seoul National University Children’s Hospital, includes courses on “Understanding Diabetes Management,” “Response to Hypoglycemia and Hyperglycemia,” and “Insulin and Glucagon Injection Techniques.” Key participants include members of the school’s Health Promotion Department, such as physical education, health, nutrition, counseling, and homeroom teachers. This specialized training aims to empower teachers with practical emergency response skills to ensure diabetic students can engage in a safe school environment.
