잠언 4장 (Proverbs Chapter 4)
1 shim’u שִׁמְע֣וּ hear banim בָ֭נִים sons musar מ֣וּסַר instruction-of av אָ֑ב father v-haqshivu וְ֝הַקְשִׁ֗יבוּ and-attend lada’at לָדַ֥עַת to-know binah בִּינָֽה׃ understanding
1Hear, children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
1아들들아 아비의 훈계를 들으며 명철을 얻기에 주의하라
2 ki כִּ֤י for leqach לֶ֣קַח learning tov ט֭וֹב good natatti נָתַ֣תִּי I-give lachem לָכֶ֑ם to-you torati תּֽוֹרָתִ֥י my-law al אַֽל־ not ta’azovu תַּעֲזֹֽבוּ׃ forsake
2For I give you good doctrine, forsake not my law.
2내가 선한 도리를 너희에게 전하노니 내 법을 떠나지 말라
3 ki כִּי־ for ben בֵ֭ן son hayiti הָיִ֣יתִי I-was l-avi לְאָבִ֑י to-my-father rakh רַ֥ךְ tender v-yachid וְ֝יָחִ֗יד and-only lifnei לִפְנֵ֥י before immi אִמִּֽי׃ my-mother
3For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
3나도 내 아버지에게 아들이었으며 내 어머니 보기에 유약한 외아들이었노라
4 va-yoreni וַיֹּרֵ֗נִי and-he-taught-me va-yomer וַיֹּ֥אמֶר and-said li לִ֗י to-me yitmakh יִֽתְמָךְ־ let-retain d’varai דְּבָרַ֥י my-words libekha לִבֶּ֑ךָ your-heart sh’mor שְׁמֹ֖ר keep mitzvotai מִצְוֺתַ֣י my-commandments vechyeh וֶֽחְיֵֽה׃ and-live
4He taught me also, and said to me, Let your heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
4아버지가 내게 가르쳐 이르되 내 말을 네 마음에 두라 내 명령을 지키라 그리하면 살리라
5 q’neh קְנֵ֣ה get chokhmah חָ֭כְמָה wisdom q’neh קְנֵ֣ה get binah בִינָ֑ה understanding al אַל־ not tishkach תִּשְׁכַּ֥ח forget v-al וְאַל־ and-not tet תֵּ֝֗ט decline me-imrei מֵֽאִמְרֵי־ from-words-of fi פִֽי׃ my-mouth
5Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
5지혜를 얻으며 명철을 얻으라 잊지 말며 내 입의 말을 어기지 말라
6 al אַל־ not ta’azveha תַּעַזְבֶ֥הָ forsake-her v-tishm’rekha וְתִשְׁמְרֶ֑ךָּ and-she-will-preserve-you ehaveha אֱהָבֶ֥הָ love-her v-titzrekha וְתִצְּרֶֽךָּ׃ and-she-will-keep-you
6Forsake her not, and she shall preserve you: love her, and she shall keep you.
6지혜를 버리지 말라 그가 너를 보호하리라 그를 사랑하라 그가 너를 지키리라
7 reshit רֵאשִׁ֣ית beginning-of chokhmah חָ֭כְמָה wisdom q’neh קְנֵ֣ה get chokhmah חָכְמָ֑ה wisdom u-v’khol וּבְכָל־ and-with-all qinyan’kha קִ֝נְיָנְךָ֗ your-getting q’neh קְנֵ֣ה get binah בִינָֽה׃ understanding
7Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.
7지혜가 제일이니 지혜를 얻으라 무릇 너의 얻은 것을 가져 명철을 얻을지니라
8 sals’leha סַלְסְלֶ֥הָ exalt-her ut’rom’mekka וּֽתְרוֹמְמֶ֑ךָּ and-she-will-promote-you t’khabb’dekha תְּ֝כַבֵּֽדְךָ֗ she-will-honor-you ki כִּ֣י when t’chabb’qennah תְחַבְּקֶֽנָּה׃ you-embrace-her
8Exalt her, and she shall promote you: she shall bring you to honour, when you do embrace her.
8그를 높이라 그리하면 그가 너를 높이 들리라 만일 그를 품으면 그가 너를 영화롭게 하리라
9 titten תִּתֵּ֣ן she-shall-give l-rosh’kha לְ֭רֹאשְׁךָ to-your-head livyat לִוְיַת־ ornament-of chen חֵ֑ן grace ateret עֲטֶ֖רֶת crown-of tif’eret תִּפְאֶ֣רֶת glory t’maggenekka תְּמַגְּנֶֽךָּ׃ she-shall-deliver-to-you
9She shall give to your head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to you.
9그가 아름다운 관을 네 머리에 두겠고 영화로운 면류관을 네게 주리라 하셨느니라
10 sh’ma שְׁמַ֣ע hear b’ni בְּ֭נִי my-son v-qach וְקַ֣ח and-receive amarai אֲמָרָ֑י my-sayings v-yirbu וְיִרְבּ֥וּ and-shall-be-many l’kha לְ֝ךָ֗ to-you sh’not שְׁנ֣וֹת years-of chayyim חַיִּֽים׃ life
10Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of your life shall be many.
10내 아들아 들으라 내 말을 받으라 그리하면 네 생명의 해가 길리라
11 b-derekh בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ in-way-of chokhmah חָ֭כְמָה wisdom horetikha הֹרֵתִ֑יךָ I-have-taught-you hidrakhtikha הִ֝דְרַכְתִּ֗יךָ I-have-led-you b-ma’g’lei בְּמַעְגְּלֵי־ in-paths-of yosher יֹֽשֶׁר׃ uprightness
11I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.
11내가 지혜로운 길로 네게 가르쳤으며 정직한 첩경으로 너를 인도하였은즉
12 b-lekht’kha בְּֽ֭לֶכְתְּךָ when-you-go lo לֹא־ not yetzar יֵצַ֣ר shall-be-straitened tza’adekha צַעֲדֶ֑ךָ your-steps v-im וְאִם־ and-when tarutz תָּ֝ר֗וּץ you-run lo לֹ֣א not tikkashel תִכָּשֵֽׁל׃ you-shall-stumble
12When you go, your steps shall not be straitened; and when you run, you shall not stumble.
12다닐 때에 네 걸음이 곤란하지 아니하겠고 달려갈 때에 실족하지 아니하리라
13 hachezeq הַחֲזֵ֣ק take-fast-hold ba-musar בַּמּוּסָ֣ר of-instruction al אַל־ not teref תֶּ֑רֶף let-go nitz’reha נִ֝צְּרֶ֗הָ keep-her ki כִּי־ for hi הִ֥יא she chayyeikha חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ your-life
13Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is your life.
13훈계를 굳게 잡아 놓치지 말고 지키라 이것이 네 생명이니라
14 b-orach בְּאֹ֣רַח in-path-of r’sha’im רְ֭שָׁעִים wicked al אַל־ not tavo תָּבֹ֑א enter u-v’derekh וּבְדֶ֥רֶךְ and-in-way-of ra’im רָ֝עִ֗ים evil-men al אַל־ not t’ashsker תְּאַשֵּֽׁר׃ go
14Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
14사특한 자의 첩경에 들어가지 말며 악인의 길로 다니지 말지어다
15 p’ra’ehu פְּרָעֵ֥הוּ avoid-it al אַל־ not ta’avor תַּעֲבָר־ pass bo בּ֑וֹ by-it s’teh שְׂטֵ֖ה turn me-alav מֵעָלָ֣יו from-it va-avor וַעֲבֽוֹר׃ and-pass-on
15Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
15그길을 피하고 지나가지 말며 돌이켜 떠나갈지어다
16 ki כִּ֤י for lo לֹ֣א not yish’nu יִֽ֭שְׁנוּ they-sleep im אִם־ unless lo לֹ֣א not yare’u יָרֵ֑עוּ they-have-done-mischief v-nigz’lah וְֽנִגְזְלָ֥ה and-is-taken-away sh’natam שְׁ֝נָתָ֗ם their-sleep im אִם־ unless lo לֹ֥א not yakhshilu יַכְשִֽׁילוּ׃ they-cause-to-fall
16For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
16그들은 악을 행하지 못하면 자지 못하며 사람을 넘어뜨리지 못하면 잠이 오지 아니하며
17 ki כִּ֣י for lachamu לָ֭חֲמוּ they-eat lechem לֶ֣חֶם bread-of resha רֶ֑שַׁע wickedness v-yein וְיֵ֖ין and-wine-of chamasim חֲמָסִ֣ים violence yishtu יִשְׁתּֽוּ׃ they-drink
17For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
17불의의 떡을 먹으며 강포의 술을 마심이니라
18 v-orach וְאֹ֣רַח but-path-of tzaddiqim צַ֭דִּיקִים righteous k-or כְּא֣וֹר as-light-of nogah נֹ֑גַהּ shining holekh הוֹלֵ֥ךְ going va-or וָ֝א֗וֹר and-shining ad עַד־ until n’khon נְכ֥וֹן perfect ha-yom הַיּֽוֹם׃ the-day
18But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more to the perfect day.
18의인의 길은 돋는 햇살 같아서 점점 빛나서 원만한 광명에 이르거니와
19 derekh דֶּ֣רֶךְ way-of r’sha’im רְ֭שָׁעִים wicked ka-afelah כָּֽאֲפֵלָ֑ה as-darkness lo לֹ֥א not yad’u יָ֝דְע֗וּ they-know ba-meh בַּמֶּ֥ה at-what yikkashelu יִכָּשֵֽׁלוּ׃ they-stumble
19The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
19악인의 길은 어둠 같아서 그가 거쳐 넘어져도 그것이 무엇인지 깨닫지 못하느니라
20 b’ni בְּ֭נִי my-son li-d’varai לִדְבָרַ֣י to-my-words haqshivah הַקְשִׁ֑יבָה attend la-amarai לַ֝אֲמָרַ֗י to-my-sayings hat הַט־ incline ozn’kha אָזְנֶֽךָ׃ your-ear
20My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.
20내 아들아 내 말에 주의하며 나의 이르는 것에 네 귀를 기울이라
21 al אַל־ not yallizu יַלִּ֥יזוּ let-them-depart me-einekha מֵעֵינֶ֑יךָ from-your-eyes shomrem שָׁ֝מְרֵ֗ם keep-them b-tokh בְּת֣וֹךְ in-midst-of l’vavekha לְבָבֶֽךָ׃ your-heart
21Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart.
21그것을 네 눈에서 떠나게 말며 네 마음속에 지키라
22 ki כִּֽי־ for chayyim חַיִּ֣ים life hem הֵ֭ם they l-motz’eihem לְמֹצְאֵיהֶ֑ם to-those-that-find-them u-l’khol וּֽלְכָל־ and-to-all b’saro בְּשָׂר֥וֹ his-flesh marpe מַרְפֵּֽא׃ health
22For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
22그것은 얻는 자에게 생명이 되며 그 온 육체의 건강이 됨이니라
23 mi-kol מִֽכָּל־ above-all mishmar מִ֭שְׁמָר keeping n’tzor נְצֹ֣ר keep libekha לִבֶּ֑ךָ your-heart ki כִּֽי־ for mi-mennu מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ out-of-it totz’ot תּוֹצְא֥וֹת issues-of chayyim חַיִּֽים׃ life
23Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
23무릇 지킬만한 것보다 더욱 네 마음을 지키라 생명의 근원이 이에서 남이니라
24 haser הָסֵ֣ר put-away mi-m’kha מִ֭מְּךָ from-you iqq’shut עִקְּשׁ֣וּת perversity-of peh פֶּ֑ה mouth u-l’zut וּלְז֥וּת and-perverseness-of s’fatayim שְׂ֝פָתַ֗יִם lips harcheq הַרְחֵ֥ק put-far mi-mekka מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ from-you
24Put away from you a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from you.
24궤휼을 네 입에서 버리며 사곡을 네 입술에서 멀리하라
25 einekha עֵ֭ינֶיךָ your-eyes l-nokhach לְנֹ֣כַח right-on yabbitu יַבִּ֑יטוּ let-look v-af’appekha וְ֝עַפְעַפֶּ֗יךָ and-your-eyelids yayshiru יַיְשִׁ֥רוּ look-straight negdekha נֶגְדֶּֽךָ׃ before-you
25Let your eyes look right on, and let your eyelids look straight before you.
25네 눈은 바로 보며 네 눈꺼풀은 네 앞을 곧게 살펴
26 palles פַּ֭לֵּס ponder ma’gal מַעְגַּ֣ל path-of raglekha רַגְלֶ֑ךָ your-feet v-khol וְֽכָל־ and-all d’rakhekha דְּרָכֶ֥יךָ your-ways yikkonu יִכֹּֽנוּ׃ let-be-established
26Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.
26네 발의 행할 첩경을 평탄케 하며 네 모든 길을 든든히 하라
27 al אַֽל־ not tet תֵּט־ turn yamin יָמִ֥ין right u-s’mol וּשְׂמֹ֑אול or-left haser הָסֵ֖ר remove ragl’kha רַגְלְךָ֣ your-foot me-ra מֵרָֽע׃ from-evil
27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove your foot from evil.
27우편으로나 좌편으로나 치우치지 말고 네 발을 악에서 떠나게 하라
