잠언 8장 (Proverbs Chapter 8)

1 halo הֲלֹא־ does-not chochmah חָכְמָ֥ה wisdom tiqra תִקְרָ֑א call-out ut’vunah וּ֝תְבוּנָ֗ה and-understanding titten תִּתֵּ֥ן gives qolah קוֹלָֽהּ׃ her-voice

1Does not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

1지혜가 부르지 아니하느냐 명철이 소리를 높이지 아니하느냐

2 b’rosh בְּרֹאשׁ־ at-top-of m’romim מְרוֹמִ֥ים heights aley עֲלֵי־ beside darech דָ֑רֶךְ way beyt בֵּ֖ית house-of n’tivot נְתִיב֣וֹת paths nitzavah נִצָּֽבָה׃ she-stands

2She stands in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

2그가 길가의 높은 곳과 사거리에 서며

3 l’yad לְיַד־ beside sh’arim שְׁעָרִ֥ים gates l’fi לְפִי־ at-entrance-of qaret קָ֑רֶת city m’vo מְב֖וֹא entrance-of p’tachim פְתָחִ֣ים doors taronah תָרֹֽנָּה׃ she-cries-aloud

3She cries at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

3성문 곁과 문 어귀와 여러 출입하는 문에서 불러 가로되

4 aleychem אֲלֵיכֶ֣ם to-you ishim אִישִׁ֣ים men eqra אֶקְרָ֑א I-call v’qoli וְ֝קוֹלִ֗י and-my-voice el אֶל־ to b’ney בְּנֵ֥י sons-of adam אָדָֽם׃ man

4To you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

4사람들아 내가 너희를 부르며 내가 인자들에게 소리를 높이노라

5 havinu הָבִ֣ינוּ understand p’tayim פְתָאיִ֣ם simple-ones ormah עָרְמָ֑ה prudence uch’silim וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים and-fools havinu הָבִ֥ינוּ understand lev לֵֽב׃ heart

5O you simple, understand wisdom: and, you fools, be you of an understanding heart.

5어리석은 자들아 너희는 명철할지니라 미련한 자들아 너희는 마음이 밝을지니라

6 shim’u שִׁ֭מְעוּ hear ki כִּֽי־ for n’gidim נְגִידִ֣ים excellent-things adabber אֲדַבֵּ֑ר I-speak umiftach וּמִפְתַּ֥ח and-opening-of s’fatay שְׂ֝פָתַ֗י my-lips meysharim מֵישָׁרִֽים׃ right-things

6Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

6너희는 들을지어다 내가 가장 선한 것을 말하리라 내 입술을 열어 정직을 내리라

7 ki כִּֽי־ for emet אֱ֭מֶת truth yehgeh יֶהְגֶּ֣ה utters chiki חִכִּ֑י my-mouth v’to’avat וְתוֹעֲבַ֖ת and-abomination-of s’fatay שְׂפָתַ֣י my-lips resha רֶֽשַׁע׃ wickedness

7For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

7내 입은 진리를 말하며 내 입술은 악을 미워하느니라

8 b’tzedeq בְּצֶ֥דֶק in-righteousness kol כָּל־ all imrey אִמְרֵי־ words-of fi פִ֑י my-mouth eyn אֵ֥ין nothing bahem בָּ֝הֶ֗ם in-them niftal נִפְתָּ֥ל twisted v’iqesh וְעִקֵּֽשׁ׃ and-crooked

8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

8내 입의 말은 다 의로운즉 그 가운데 굽은 것과 패역한 것이 없나니

9 kulam כֻּלָּ֣ם all-of-them n’chochim נְ֭כֹחִים plain lam’vin לַמֵּבִ֑ין to-him-who-understands visharim וִֽ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים and-right l’motz’ey לְמֹ֣צְאֵי to-those-who-find da’at דָֽעַת׃ knowledge

9They are all plain to him that understands, and right to them that find knowledge.

9이는 다 총명 있는 자의 밝히 아는 바요 지식 얻은 자의 정직히 여기는 바니라

10 q’chu קְחוּ־ receive musari מוּסָרִ֥י my-instruction v’al וְאַל־ and-not kasef כָּ֑סֶף silver v’da’at וְ֝דַ֗עַת and-knowledge mecharutz מֵחָר֥וּץ rather-than-choice nivchar נִבְחָֽר׃ gold

10Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

10너희가 은을 받지 말고 나의 훈계를 받으며 정금보다 지식을 얻으라

11 ki כִּֽי־ for tovah טוֹבָ֣ה better chochmah חָ֭כְמָה wisdom mip’ninim מִפְּנִינִ֑ים than-rubies v’chol וְכָל־ and-all chafatzim חֲ֝פָצִ֗ים desirable-things lo לֹ֣א not yishvu יִֽשְׁווּ־ compare vah בָֽהּ׃ with-her

11For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

11대저 지혜는 진주보다 나으므로 무릇 원하는 것을 이에 비교할 수 없음이니라

12 ani אֲ‍ֽנִי־ I chochmah חָ֭כְמָה wisdom shachanti שָׁכַ֣נְתִּי dwell ormah עָרְמָ֑ה with-prudence v’da’at וְדַ֖עַת and-knowledge m’zimot מְזִמּ֣וֹת of-witty-inventions emtza אֶמְצָֽא׃ I-find

12I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

12나 지혜는 명철로 주소를 삼으며 지식과 근신을 찾아 얻나니

13 yir’at יִֽרְאַ֣ת fear-of YHVH יְהוָה֮ LORD s’not שְֽׂנֹ֫את to-hate ra רָ֥ע evil ge’ah גֵּ֘אָ֤ה pride v’ga’on וְגָא֨וֹן and-arrogancy v’derech וְדֶ֣רֶךְ and-way ra רָ֭ע evil ufi וּפִ֨י and-mouth tahpuchot תַהְפֻּכ֬וֹת perverse saneti שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃ I-hate

13The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

13여호와를 경외하는 것은 악을 미워하는 것이라 나는 교만과 거만과 악한 행실과 패역한 입을 미워하느니라

14 li לִֽי־ mine etzah עֵ֭צָה counsel v’tushiyah וְתוּשִׁיָּ֑ה and-sound-wisdom ani אֲנִ֥י I-am vinah בִ֝ינָ֗ה understanding li לִ֣י I-have g’vurah גְבוּרָֽה׃ strength

14Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

14내게는 도략과 참 지식이 있으며 나는 명철이라 내게 능력이 있으므로

15 bi בִּ֭י by-me m’lachim מְלָכִ֣ים kings yimlochu יִמְלֹ֑כוּ reign v’roz’nim וְ֝רוֹזְנִ֗ים and-princes y’choq’qu יְחֹ֣קְקוּ decree tzedeq צֶֽדֶק׃ justice

15By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

15나로 말미암아 왕들이 치리하며 방백들이 공의를 세우며

16 bi בִּ֭י by-me sarim שָׂרִ֣ים princes yasoru יָשֹׂ֑רוּ rule un’divim וּ֝נְדִיבִ֗ים and-nobles kol כָּל־ all shof’tey שֹׁ֥פְטֵי judges-of tzedek צֶֽדֶק׃ righteousness

16By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

16나로 말미암아 재상과 존귀한 자 곧 세상의 모든 재판관들이 다스리느니라

17 ani אֲ֭נִי I ohavay אֹהֲבַ֣י those-who-love-me ehav אֵהָ֑ב love um’shacharay וּ֝מְשַׁחֲרַ֗י and-those-who-seek-me-early yimtza’unni יִמְצָאֻֽנְנִי׃ find-me

17I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

17나를 사랑하는 자들이 나의 사랑을 입으며 나를 간절히 찾는 자가 나를 만날 것이니라

18 osher עֹֽשֶׁר־ riches v’chavod וְכָב֥וֹד and-honour iti אִתִּ֑י with-me hon ה֥וֹן wealth ateq עָ֝תֵ֗ק durable utz’daqah וּצְדָקָֽה׃ and-righteousness

18Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

18부귀가 내게 있고 장구한 재물과 의도 그러하니라

19 tov ט֣וֹב better piryi פִּ֭רְיִי my-fruit mecharutz מֵחָר֣וּץ than-gold umipaz וּמִפָּ֑ז and-than-fine-gold ut’vuati וּ֝תְבוּאָתִ֗י and-my-revenue mikesef מִכֶּ֥סֶף than-silver nivchar נִבְחָֽר׃ choice

19My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

19내 열매는 금이나 정금보다 나으며 내 소득은 천은보다 나으니라

20 b’orach בְּאֹֽרַח־ in-path-of tz’daqah צְדָקָ֥ה righteousness ahalech אֲהַלֵּ֑ך I-walk b’toch בְּ֝ת֗וֹךְ in-midst-of n’tivot נְתִיב֥וֹת paths-of mishpat מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ judgment

20I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

20나는 의로운 길로 행하며 공평한 길 가운데로 다니나니

21 l’hanchil לְהַנְחִ֣יל to-cause-to-inherit ohavay אֹהֲבַ֣י those-who-love-me yesh יֵ֑שׁ substance v’otz’roteyhem וְאֹצְרֹ֖תֵיהֶ֣ם and-their-treasuries amale אֲמַלֵּֽא׃ I-fill

21That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

21이는 나를 사랑하는 자로 재물을 얻어서 그 곳간에 채우게 하려 함이니라

22 YHVH יְ֭הוָה LORD qanani קָנָ֣נִי possessed-me reshit רֵאשִׁ֣ית beginning-of darko דַּרְכּ֑וֹ his-way qedem קֶ֖דֶם before mif’alav מִפְעָלָ֣יו his-works me’az מֵאָֽז׃ of-old

22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

22여호와께서 그 조화의 시작 곧 태초에 일하시기 전에 나를 가지셨으며

23 me’olam מֵ֭עוֹלָם from-everlasting nisachti נִסַּ֥כְתִּי I-was-set-up merosh מֵרֹ֗אשׁ from-beginning miqad’mey מִקַּדְמֵי־ from-ancient-times-of aretz אָֽרֶץ׃ earth

23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

23만세 전부터, 상고부터, 땅이 생기기 전부터 내가 세움을 입었나니

24 b’eyn בְּאֵין־ when-no t’homot תְּהֹמ֥וֹת depths cholalti חוֹלָ֑לְתִּי I-was-brought-forth b’eyn בְּאֵ֥ין when-no ma’yanot מַ֝עְיָנ֗וֹת fountains nichb’dey נִכְבַּדֵּי־ abounding-with mayim מָֽיִם׃ waters

24When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

24아직 바다가 생기지 아니하였고 큰 샘들이 있기 전에 내가 이미 났으며

25 b’terem בְּטֶ֣רֶם before harim הָרִ֣ים mountains hot’ba’u הָטְבָּ֑עוּ were-settled lifney לִפְנֵ֖י before g’va’ot גְבָע֣וֹת hills cholalti חוֹלָֽלְתִּי׃ I-was-brought-forth

25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

25산이 세우심을 입기 전에, 언덕이 생기기 전에 내가 이미 났으니

26 ad עַד־ while-yet lo לֹ֣א not asah עָ֭שָׂה he-had-made eretz אֶ֣רֶץ earth v’chutzot וְחוּצ֑וֹת and-fields v’rosh וְ֝רֹ֗אשׁ and-highest-part-of af’rot עָפְר֥וֹת dust-of tevel תֵּבֵֽל׃ world

26While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

26하나님이 아직 땅도, 들도, 세상 진토의 근원도 짓지 아니하셨을 때에라

27 bahachino בַּהֲכִינ֣וֹ when-he-prepared shamayim שָׁ֭מַיִם heavens sham שָׁ֣ם there ani אָ֑נִי I-was b’chuqo בְּח֥וּקוֹ when-he-set chug ח֝֗וּג compass al עַל־ upon p’ney פְּנֵ֥י face-of t’hom תְהֽוֹם׃ deep

27When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

27그가 하늘을 지으시며 궁창으로 해면에 두르실 때에 내가 거기 있었고

28 b’am’tzo בְּאַמְּצ֣וֹ when-he-established sh’chaqim שְׁחָקִ֣ים clouds mima’al מִמָּ֑עַל above ba’azoz בַּ֝עֲז֗וֹז when-strengthened eynot עִינ֥וֹת fountains-of t’hom תְּהוֹם׃ deep

28When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

28그가 위로 구름 하늘을 견고하게 하시며 바다의 샘들을 힘 있게 하시며

29 b’sumo בְּשׂ֘וּמ֤וֹ when-he-gave layam לַיָּ֨ם to-sea chuqo חֻקּ֗וֹ his-decree umayim וּ֭מַיִם and-waters lo לֹ֣א not ya’avru יַֽעַבְרוּ־ pass fiv פִ֑יו his-commandment b’chuqo בְּ֝חוּק֗וֹ when-he-appointed mos’dey מ֣וֹסְדֵי foundations-of aretz אָֽרֶץ׃ earth

29When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

29바다의 한계를 정하여 물로 명령을 거스르지 못하게 하시며 또 땅의 기초를 정하실 때에

30 va’ehyeh וָֽאֶהְיֶ֥ה then-I-was etzlo אֶצְל֗וֹ by-him amon אָ֫מ֥וֹן master-workman va’ehyeh וָֽאֶהְיֶ֣ה and-I-was sha’ashu’im שַׁ֭עֲשֻׁעִים delight yom י֤וֹם day yom י֑וֹם by-day m’sacheket מְשַׂחֶ֖קֶת rejoicing l’fanav לְפָנָ֣יו before-him b’chol בְּכָל־ at-all et עֵֽת׃ times

30Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

30내가 그 곁에 있어서 창조자가 되어 날마다 그 기뻐하신 바가 되었으며 항상 그 앞에서 즐거워하였으며

31 m’sacheket מְ֭שַׂחֶקֶת rejoicing b’tevel בְּתֵבֵ֣ל in-habitable-part-of artzo אַרְצ֑וֹ his-earth v’sha’ashu’ay וְ֝שַׁעֲשֻׁעַ֗י and-my-delights et אֶת־ with b’ney בְּנֵ֥י sons-of adam אָדָֽם׃ men

31Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

31사람이 거처할 땅에서 즐거워하며 인자들을 기뻐하였었느니라

32 v’atah וְעַתָּ֣ה and-now vanim בָ֭נִים sons shim’u שִׁמְעוּ־ hear li לִ֑י me v’ashrey וְ֝אַשְׁרֵ֗י and-blessed d’rachay דְּרָכַ֥י my-ways yishmoru יִשְׁמֹֽרוּ׃ they-keep

32Now therefore hearken to me, O you children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

32아들들아 이제 내게 들으라 내 도를 지키는 자가 복이 있느니라

33 shim’u שִׁמְע֣וּ hear musar מ֭וּסָר instruction vachachamu וַחֲכָ֑מוּ and-be-wise v’al וְאַל־ and-not tifra’u תִּפְרָֽעוּ׃ refuse-it

33Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

33훈계를 들어서 지혜를 얻고 그것을 버리지 말라

34 ashrey אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי blessed adam אָדָם֮ man shomea שֹׁמֵ֪עַ hearing li לִ֫י me lishqod לִשְׁקֹ֣ד watching al עַל־ at daltotay דַּ֭לְתֹתַי my-gates yom י֤וֹם day yom י֗וֹם by-day lishmor לִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר waiting m’zuzot מְזוּזֹ֥ת posts-of p’tachay פְּתָחָֽי׃ my-doors

34Blessed is the man that hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

34누구든지 내게 들으며 날마다 내 문 곁에서 기다리며 문설주 옆에서 기다리는 자는 복이 있나니

35 ki כִּ֣י for motz’i מֹ֭צְאִי he-who-finds-me matza מָצָ֣א finds chayim חַיִּ֑ים life vayafeq וַיָּ֥פֶק and-obtains ratzon רָ֝צ֗וֹן favour me-YHVH מֵיְהוָֽה׃ from-LORD

35For whoever finds me finds life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

35대저 나를 얻는 자는 생명을 얻고 여호와께 은총을 얻을 것임이니라

36 v’chot’i וְֽ֭חֹטְאִי but-he-who-sins-against-me chomes חֹמֵ֣ס wrongs nafsho נַפְשׁ֑וֹ his-soul kol כָּל־ all m’san’ay מְ֝שַׂנְאַ֗י those-who-hate-me ahavu אָ֣הֲבוּ love mavet מָֽוֶת׃ death

36But he that sins against me wrongs his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

36나를 잃는 자는 자기의 영혼을 해하는 자라 무릇 나를 미워하는 자는 사망을 사랑하느니라
