잠언 12장 (Proverbs Chapter 12)
1 ohev אֹהֵ֣ב loving musar מוּסָ֭ר instruction ohev אֹ֣הֵֽב loves da’at דָּ֑עַת knowledge v-sone וְשֹׂנֵ֖א but-hating tochachat תוֹכַ֣חַת reproof ba’ar בָּֽעַר׃ stupid
1Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge: but he who hates reproof is brutish.
1훈계를 좋아하는 자는 지식을 좋아하나니 징계를 싫어하는 자는 짐승과 같으니라
2 tov ט֗וֹב good yafiq יָפִ֣יק obtains ratzon רָ֭צוֹן favor me-YHVH מֵיְהוָ֑ה from-LORD v-ish וְאִ֖ישׁ but-man-of m’zimmot מְזִמּ֣וֹת devices yarshi’a יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃ condemns
2A good man obtains favor of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
2선인은 여호와께 은총을 받으려니와 악을 꾀하는 자는 정죄하심을 받으리라
3 lo לֹא־ not yikon יִכּ֣וֹן established adam אָדָ֣ם man b-resha בְּרֶ֑שַׁע by-wickedness v-shoresh וְשֹׁ֥רֶשׁ but-root-of tzaddiqim צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים righteous bal בַּל־ not yimmot יִמּֽוֹט׃ moved
3A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
3사람이 악으로 굳게 서지 못하나니 의인의 뿌리는 움직이지 아니하느니라
4 eshet אֵֽשֶׁת־ wife-of chayil חַ֭יִל virtue ateret עֲטֶ֣רֶת crown ba’lah בַּעְלָ֑הּ her-husband u-ch-raqav וּכְרָקָ֖ב but-as-rottenness b-atzmotav בְּעַצְמוֹתָ֣יו in-his-bones m’visha מְבִישָֽׁה׃ shameful
4A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she who makes ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
4어진 여인은 그 지아비의 면류관이나 욕을 끼치는 여인은 그 지아비로 뼈가 썩음 같게 하느니라
5 machsh’vot מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת thoughts-of tzaddiqim צַדִּיקִ֣ים righteous mishpat מִשְׁפָּ֑ט justice tachbulot תַּחְבֻּל֖וֹת counsels-of r’sha’im רְשָׁעִ֣ים wicked mirma מִרְמָֽה׃ deceit
5The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
5의인의 생각은 공직하여도 악인의 도모는 궤휼이니라
6 divrei דִּבְרֵ֣י words-of r’sha’im רְשָׁעִ֣ים wicked erov אֱרָב־ lie-in-wait dam דָּ֑ם blood u-fi וּפִ֥י but-mouth-of y’sharim יְ֝שָׁרִ֗ים upright yatzilem יַצִּילֵֽם׃ delivers-them
6The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
6악인의 말은 사람을 엿보아 피를 흘리자 하는 것이어니와 정직한 자의 입은 사람을 구원하느니라
7 hafoch הָפ֣וֹךְ overthrown r’sha’im רְשָׁעִ֣ים wicked v-einam וְאֵינָ֑ם and-they-not u-veit וּבֵ֖ית but-house-of tzaddiqim צַדִּיקִ֣ים righteous ya’amod יַעֲמֹֽד׃ shall-stand
7The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
7악인은 엎드러져서 소멸되려니와 의인의 집은 서 있으리라
8 l-fi לְפִי־ according-to sichlo שִׂ֭כְלוֹ his-wisdom y’hullal יְהֻלַּל־ commended ish אִ֑ישׁ man v-na’ave וְנַעֲוֵה־ but-perverse lev לֵ֝֗ב heart yihye יִהְיֶ֥ה shall-be lavuz לָבֽוּז׃ despised
8A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he who is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
8사람은 그 지혜대로 칭찬을 받으려니와 마음이 패려한 자는 멸시를 받으리라
9 tov ט֣וֹב better niqleh נִ֭קְלֶה lightly-esteemed v-eved וְעֶ֣בֶד and-servant lo ל֑וֹ to-him mi-m’takabbed מִ֝מְּתַכַּבֵּ֗ד than-honoring-self va-chasar וַחֲסַר־ and-lacking lachem לָֽחֶם׃ bread
9He who is despised, and has a servant, is better than he who honors himself, and lacks bread.
9비천히 여김을 받을지라도 종을 부리는 자는 스스로 높은 체하고도 음식이 핍절한 자보다 나으니라
10 yode’a יוֹדֵ֣עַ knows tzaddiq צַ֭דִּיק righteous nefesh נֶ֣פֶשׁ life-of b’hemto בְּהֶמְתּ֑וֹ his-beast v-rachamei וְֽרַחֲמֵ֥י but-mercies-of r’sha’im רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים wicked achzari אַכְזָרִֽי׃ cruel
10A righteous man regards the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
10의인은 그 육축의 생명을 돌아보나 악인의 긍휼은 잔인이니라
11 oved עֹבֵ֣ד tilling admato אַ֭דְמָתוֹ his-land yisba יִֽשְׂבַּע־ satisfied lachem לָ֑חֶם bread u-m’raddef וּמְרַדֵּ֖ף but-following reqim רֵיקִ֣ים vain-things chasar חֲסַר־ lacking lev לֵֽב׃ understanding
11He who tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he who follows vain persons is void of understanding.
11자기의 토지를 경작하는 자는 먹을 것이 많거니와 방탕한 것을 따르는 자는 지혜가 없느니라
12 chamad חָמַ֣ד desires rasha רָ֭שָׁע wicked m’tzod מְצ֣וֹד net-of ra’im רָעִ֑ים evil-men v-shoresh וְשֹׁ֖רֶשׁ but-root-of tzaddiqim צַדִּיקִ֣ים righteous yitten יִתֵּֽן׃ yields
12The wicked desires the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yields fruit.
12악인은 불의의 이를 탐하나 의인은 그 뿌리로 말미암아 결실하느니라
13 b-fesha בְּפֶ֣שַׁע in-transgression-of s’fatayim שְׂ֭פָתַיִם lips moqesh מוֹקֵ֣שׁ snare ra רָ֑ע evil va-yetze וַיֵּצֵ֖א but-comes-out mi-tzara מִצָּרָ֣ה from-trouble tzaddiq צַדִּֽיק׃ righteous
13The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
13악인은 입술의 허물로 인하여 그물에 걸려도 의인은 환난에서 벗어나느니라
14 mi-p’ri מִפְּרִ֣י from-fruit-of fi פִי־ mouth ish אִ֭ישׁ man yisba יִשְׂבַּע־ satisfied tov ט֑וֹב good u-g’mul וּגְמ֥וּל and-recompense-of y’dei יְדֵי־ hands adam אָ֝דָ֗ם man yashuv יָשׁ֥וּב returns lo לֽוֹ׃ to-him
14A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man’s hands shall be rendered to him.
14사람은 입의 열매로 인하여 복록에 족하며 그 손의 행하는 대로 자기가 받느니라
15 derech דֶּ֣רֶךְ way-of evil אֱ֭וִיל fool yashar יָשָׁ֣ר right b-einav בְּעֵינָ֑יו in-his-eyes v-shome’a וְשֹׁמֵ֖עַ but-listening l-etza לְעֵצָ֣ה to-counsel chacham חָכָֽם׃ wise
15The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he who listens to counsel is wise.
15미련한 자는 자기 행위를 바른 줄로 여기나 지혜로운 자는 권고를 듣느니라
16 evil אֱוִ֗יל fool ba-yom בַּ֭יּוֹם in-day yivvada יִוָּדַ֣ע known ka’so כַּעְס֑וֹ his-wrath v-choseh וְכֹסֶ֖ה but-covers qalon קָל֣וֹן shame arum עָרֽוּם׃ prudent
16A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covers shame.
16미련한 자는 분노를 당장에 나타내거니와 슬기로운 자는 수욕을 참느니라
17 yafi’ach יָפִ֣יחַ speaks emuna אֱ֭מוּנָה truth yaggid יַגִּ֣יד shows tzedeq צֶ֑דֶק righteousness v-ed וְעֵ֖ד but-witness-of sh’qarim שְׁקָרִ֣ים falsehood mirma מִרְמָֽה׃ deceit
17He who speaks truth shows forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
17진리를 말하는 자는 의를 나타내어도 거짓 증인은 궤휼을 말하느니라
18 yesh יֵ֣שׁ there-is boteh בּ֭וֹטֶה speaking k-madq’rot כְּמַדְקְר֣וֹת like-piercings-of charev חָ֑רֶב sword u-l’shon וּלְשׁ֖וֹן but-tongue-of chachamim חֲכָמִ֣ים wise marpe מַרְפֵּֽא׃ healing
18There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
18혹은 칼로 찌름 같이 함부로 말하거니와 지혜로운 자의 혀는 양약 같으니라
19 s’fat שְֽׂפַת־ lip-of emet אֱ֭מֶת truth tikkon תִּכּ֣וֹן established la’ad לָעַ֑ד forever v-ad וְעַד־ but-until argi’a אַ֝רְגִּ֗יעָה moment l’shon לְשׁ֣וֹן tongue-of shaqer שָֽׁקֶר׃ lying
19The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
19진실한 입술은 영원히 보존되거니와 거짓 혀는 눈 깜짝일 동안만 있을 뿐이니라
20 mirma מִ֭רְמָה deceit b-lev בְּלֶב־ in-heart-of charshei חֹ֣רְשֵׁי devising ra רָ֑ע evil u-l-yo’atzei וּֽלְיֹעֲצֵ֖י but-to-counselors-of shalom שָׁל֣וֹם peace simcha שִׂמְחָֽה׃ joy
20Deceit is in the heart of them who imagine evil: but to the counselors of peace is joy.
20악을 꾀하는 자의 마음에는 궤휼이 있고 화평을 논하는 자에게는 희락이 있느니라
21 lo לֹא־ not y’unneh יְאֻנֶּ֣ה happen la-tzaddiq לַ֭צַּדִּיק to-righteous kol כָּל־ any aven אָ֑וֶן evil u-r’sha’im וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים but-wicked mal’u מָ֣לְאוּ filled ra רָֽע׃ mischief
21There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
21의인에게는 아무 재앙도 임하지 아니하려니와 악인에게는 앙화가 가득하리라
22 to’avat תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת abomination YHVH יְ֭הוָה LORD siftei שִׂפְתֵי־ lips-of shaqer שָׁ֑קֶר lying v-osei וְעֹשֵׂ֖י but-dealing emuna אֱמוּנָ֣ה truly r’tzono רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃ his-delight
22Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they who deal truly are his delight.
22거짓 입술은 여호와께 미움을 받아도 진실히 행하는 자는 그의 기뻐하심을 받느니라
23 adam אָדָ֣ם man arum עָ֭רוּם prudent koseh כֹּ֣סֶה conceals da’at דָּ֑עַת knowledge v-lev וְלֵ֥ב but-heart-of k’silim כְּ֝סִילִ֗ים fools yiqra יִקְרָ֥א proclaims ivvelet אִוֶּֽלֶת׃ foolishness
23A prudent man conceals knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.
23슬기로운 자는 지식을 감추어도 미련한 자의 마음은 미련한 것을 전파하느니라
24 yad יַד־ hand-of charutzim חָרוּצִ֥ים diligent timshol תִּמְשׁ֑וֹל shall-bear-rule u-r’miya וּ֝רְמִיָּ֗ה but-slothful tihye תִּהְיֶ֥ה shall-be lamas לָמַֽס׃ under-tribute
24The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
24부지런한 자의 손은 사람을 다스리게 되어도 게으른 자는 부림을 받느니라
25 d’aga דְּאָגָ֣ה anxiety v-lev בְלֶב־ in-heart-of ish אִ֭ישׁ man yashchenna יַשְׁחֶ֑נָּה makes-it-stoop v-davar וְדָבָ֖ר but-word tov ט֣וֹב good y’samm’chenna יְשַׂמְּחֶֽנָּה׃ makes-it-glad
25Heaviness in the heart of man makes it stoop: but a good word makes it glad.
25근심이 사람의 마음에 있으면 그것으로 번뇌케 하나 선한 말은 그것을 즐겁게 하느니라
26 yater יָתֵ֣ר more-excellent me-re’ehu מֵרֵעֵ֣הוּ than-his-neighbor tzaddiq צַדִּ֑יק righteous v-derech וְדֶ֖רֶךְ but-way-of r’sha’im רְשָׁעִ֣ים wicked tat’em תַּתְעֵֽם׃ seduces-them
26The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor: but the way of the wicked seduces them.
26의인은 그 이웃의 인도자가 되나 악인의 소행은 자기를 미혹하게 하느니라
27 lo לֹא־ not yacharoch יַחֲרֹ֣ךְ roast r’miya רְמִיָּ֣ה slothful tzeido צֵיד֑וֹ his-prey v-hon וְהוֹן־ but-substance adam אָדָ֖ם man yaqar יָקָ֣ר precious charutz חָרֽוּץ׃ diligent
27The slothful man roasts not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
27게으른 자는 그 잡을 것도 사냥하지 아니하나니 사람의 부귀는 부지런한 것이니라
28 b-orach בְּאֹֽרַח־ in-path-of tz’daqa צְדָקָ֥ה righteousness chayyim חַיִּ֑ים life v-derech וְדֶ֖רֶךְ and-pathway n’tiva נְתִיבָ֣ה its-path al אַל־ no mavet מָֽוֶת׃ death
28In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
28의로운 길에 생명이 있나니 그 길에는 사망이 없느니라
