잠언 30장 (Proverbs Chapter 30)

1 divrei דִּבְרֵ֤י words-of agur אָג֥וּר Agur bin בִּן־ son-of yaqe יָקֶ֗ה Jakeh hammassa הַמַּשָּׂ֑א the-prophecy ne’um נְאֻ֤ם declares haggever הַגֶּ֨בֶר the-man l-iti’el לְאִֽיתִיאֵ֥ל to-Ithiel l-iti’el לְאִיתִיאֵ֖ל to-Ithiel v-uchal וְאֻכָֽל׃ and-Ucal

1The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spoke to Ithiel, even to Ithiel and Ucal,

1야게의 아들 아굴의 잠언이니 그가 이디엘 곧 이디엘과 우갈에게 이른 말씀이니라

2 ki כִּ֤י surely ba’ar בַ֣עַר brutish anokhi אָנֹכִ֣י I me’ish מֵאִ֑ישׁ than-man v-lo וְלֹֽא־ and-not binat בִינַ֖ת understanding-of adam אָדָ֣ם man li לִֽי׃ to-me

2Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.

2나는 다른 사람에게 비하면 짐승이라 내게는 사람의 총명이 있지 아니하니라

3 v-lo וְלֹֽא־ and-not lamadti לָמַ֣דְתִּי I-learned chochma חָכְמָ֑ה wisdom v-da’at וְדַ֖עַת and-knowledge-of q’doshim קְדֹשִׁ֣ים Holy-One eda אֵדָֽע׃ I-know

3I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.

3나는 지혜를 배우지 못하였고 또 거룩하신 자를 아는 지식이 없거니와

4 mi מִ֤י who ala עָלָֽה־ ascended shamayim שָׁמַ֨יִם heaven vayyerad וַיֵּרַ֡ד and-descended mi מִ֤י who asaf אָֽסַף־ gathered ruach ר֣וּחַ wind b-chofnav בְּחָפְנָ֡יו in-his-fists mi מִ֤י who tzarar צָֽרַר־ bound mayim מַ֣יִם waters bassimla בַּשִּׂמְלָ֑ה in-garment mi מִ֤י who heqim הֵקִ֣ים established kol כָּל־ all afsei אַפְסֵי־ ends-of aretz אָ֗רֶץ earth mah מַה־ what sh’mo שְּׁמ֥וֹ his-name u-mah וּמַֽה־ and-what shem שֶּׁם־ name-of b’no בְּנ֑וֹ his-son ki כִּ֣י if teda תֵדָֽע׃ you-know

4Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if you can tell?

4하늘에 올라갔다가 내려온 자가 누구인지, 바람을 그 장중에 모은 자가 누구인지, 물을 옷에 싼 자가 누구인지, 땅의 모든 끝을 정한 자가 누구인지, 그의 이름이 무엇인지, 그의 아들의 이름이 무엇인지 너는 아느냐

5 kol כָּל־ every imrat אִמְרַ֣ת word-of eloah אֱל֣וֹהַּ God tz’rufa צְרוּפָ֑ה pure magen מָגֵ֥ן shield hu ה֝֗וּא he lachosim לַֽחֹסִ֥ים to-those-trusting bo בּֽוֹ׃ in-him

5Every word of God is pure: he is a shield to them that put their trust in him.

5하나님의 말씀은 다 순전하며 하나님은 그를 의지하는 자의 방패시니라

6 al אַל־ not tosf תּ֥וֹסְףְּ add al עַל־ to d’varav דְּבָרָ֑יו his-words pen פֶּן־ lest yokhiach יוֹכִ֖יחַ he-reprove b’kha בְּךָ֣ you v-nikhzavta וְנִכְזָֽבְתָּ׃ and-be-found-liar

6Add not to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

6너는 그의 말씀에 더하지 말라 그가 너를 책망하시겠고 너는 거짓말하는 자가 될까 두려우니라

7 sh’tayim שְׁ֭תַּיִם two-things sha’alti שָׁאַ֣לְתִּי I-asked me’ittakh מֵאִתָּ֑ךְ from-you al אַל־ not timna תִּמְנַ֥ע deny mimmenni מִ֝מֶּ֗נִּי from-me b’terem בְּטֶ֣רֶם before amut אָמֽוּת׃ I-die

7Two things have I required of you; deny me them not before I die:

7내가 두 가지 일을 주께 구하였사오니 내가 죽기 전에 내게 거절하지 마시옵소서

8 shav שָׁ֤וְא vanity u-d’var וּֽדְבַר־ and-word-of kazav כָּזָ֡ב lies harcheq הַרְחֵ֬ק remove mimmenni מִמֶּ֗נִּי from-me resh רֵ֣אשׁ poverty va’osher וָ֭עֹשֶׁר and-riches al אַל־ not titten תִּֽתֶּן־ give li לִ֑י to-me hatrifeni הַ֝טְרִיפֵ֗נִי feed-me lechem לֶ֣חֶם food chuqqi חֻקִּֽי׃ my-portion

8Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

8곧 헛된 것과 거짓말을 내게서 멀리 하옵시며 나를 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시고 오직 필요한 양식으로 나를 먹이시옵소서

9 pen פֶּ֥ן lest esba אֶשְׂבַּ֨ע I-be-full v-khichashti וְכִחַשְׁתִּי֮ and-deny v-amarti וְאָמַ֗רְתִּי and-say mi מִ֥י who YHVH יְהוָ֑ה LORD u-fen וּפֶֽן־ and-lest ivaresh אִוָּרֵ֥שׁ I-be-poor v-ganavti וְ֝גָנַ֗בְתִּי and-steal v-tafasti וְתָפַ֥שְׂתִּי and-profane shem שֵׁ֥ם name-of elohai אֱלֹהָֽי׃ my-God

9Lest I be full, and deny you, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

9혹 내가 배불러서 하나님을 모른다 여호와가 누구냐 할까 하오며 혹 내가 가난하여 도둑질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 할까 두려워함이니이다

10 al אַל־ not talshen תַּלְשֵׁ֣ן slander eved עֶ֭בֶד servant el אֶל־ to adonav אֲדֹנָ֑יו his-master pen פֶּֽן־ lest y’qalel’kha יְקַלֶּלְךָ֥ he-curse-you v-ashamta וְאָשָֽׁמְתָּ׃ and-be-guilty

10Accuse not a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be found guilty.

10너는 종을 그의 상전에게 비방하지 말라 그가 너를 저주하겠고 너는 죄책을 당할까 두려우니라

11 dor דּ֭וֹר generation aviv אָבִ֣יו his-father y’qallel יְקַלֵּ֑ל curses v-et וְאֶת־ and immo אִ֝מּ֗וֹ his-mother lo לֹ֣א not y’varekh יְבָרֵֽךְ׃ blesses

11There is a generation that curses their father, and does not bless their mother.

11아비를 저주하며 어미를 축복하지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라

12 dor דּ֭וֹר generation tahor טָה֣וֹר pure b-einav בְּעֵינָ֑יו in-his-eyes u-mitzo’ato וּ֝מִצֹּאָת֗וֹ and-from-his-filthiness lo לֹ֣א not ruchatz רֻחָֽץ׃ washed

12There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

12스스로 깨끗한 자로 여기면서도 자기의 더러운 것을 씻지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라

13 dor דּ֭וֹר generation mah מָה־ how ramu רָמ֣וּ lofty einav עֵינָ֑יו his-eyes v-afappav וְ֝עַפְעַפָּ֗יו and-his-eyelids yinnase’u יִנָּשֵֽׂאוּ׃ lifted-up

13There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.

13눈이 심히 높으며 눈꺼풀이 높이 들린 무리가 있느니라

14 dor דּ֤וֹר generation charavot חֲרָב֣וֹת swords shinnav שִׁנָּיו֮ his-teeth u-ma’akhalot וּֽמַאֲכָל֪וֹת and-knives m’tall’otav מְֽתַלְּעֹ֫תָ֥יו his-jaw-teeth le’ekhol לֶאֱכֹ֣ל to-devour aniyyim עֲנִיִּ֣ים poor me’eretz מֵאֶ֑רֶץ from-earth v-evyonim וְ֝אֶבְיוֹנִ֗ים and-needy me’adam מֵאָדָֽם׃ from-mankind

14There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

14앞니는 장검 같고 어금니는 군도 같아서 가난한 자를 땅에서 삼키며 궁핍한 자를 사람 중에서 삼키는 무리가 있느니라

15 la’aluqa לַֽעֲלוּקָ֨ה horseleech sh’tei שְׁתֵּ֥י two vanot בָנוֹת֮ daughters hav הַ֤ב give hav הַ֫ב give shalosh שָׁל֣וֹשׁ three henna הֵ֭נָּה they lo לֹ֣א not tisba’na תִשְׂבַּ֑עְנָה satisfied arba אַ֝רְבַּ֗ע four lo לֹא־ not am’ru אָ֥מְרוּ say hon הֽוֹן׃ enough

15The horseleech has two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:

15거머리에게는 두 딸이 있어 다오 다오 하느니라 족한 줄을 알지 못하여 족하다 하지 아니하는 것 서넛이 있나니

16 sh’ol שְׁאוֹל֮ grave v-otzer וְעֹ֪צֶ֫ר and-barren racham רָ֥חַם womb eretz אֶ֭רֶץ earth lo לֹא־ not sav’a שָׂ֣בְעָה satisfied mayim מַּ֑יִם water v-esh וְ֝אֵ֗שׁ and-fire lo לֹא־ not am’ra אָ֥מְרָה says hon הֽוֹן׃ enough

16The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that says not, It is enough.

16곧 스올과 아이 배지 못하는 태와 물로 채울 수 없는 땅과 족하다 하지 아니하는 불이니라

17 ayin עַ֤יִן eye til’ag תִּֽלְעַ֣ג mocks l-av לְאָב֮ at-father v-tavuz וְתָב֪וּז and-despises liqhat לִֽיקֲּהַ֫ת־ to-obey em אֵ֥ם mother yiqq’ruha יִקְּר֥וּהָ pick-it-out or’vei עֹרְבֵי־ ravens-of nachal נָ֑חַל valley v-yokh’luha וְֽיֹאכְל֥וּהָ and-eat-it b’nei בְנֵי־ young nesher נָֽשֶׁר׃ eagles

17The eye that mocks at his father, and despises to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

17아비를 조롱하며 어미 순종하기를 싫어하는 자의 눈은 골짜기의 까마귀에게 쪼이고 독수리 새끼에게 먹히리라

18 sh’losha שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה three hemmah הֵ֭מָּה they nifle’u נִפְלְא֣וּ too-wonderful mimmenni מִמֶּ֑נִּי for-me v-arba’a וְ֝אַרְבָּעָ֗ה and-four lo לֹ֣א not y’da’tim יְדַעְתִּֽים׃ I-know-them

18There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:

18내가 심히 기이히 여기고도 깨닫지 못하는 것 서넛이 있나니

19 derekh דֶּ֤רֶךְ way-of hannesher הַנֶּ֨שֶׁר the-eagle bashamayim בַּשָּׁמַיִם֮ in-sky derekh דֶּ֥רֶךְ way-of nachash נָחָ֗שׁ serpent alei עֲלֵ֫י upon tzur צ֥וּר rock derekh דֶּֽרֶךְ־ way-of oniyya אֳנִיָּ֥ה ship v-lev בְלֶב־ in-heart-of yam יָ֑ם sea v-derekh וְדֶ֖רֶךְ and-way-of gever גֶּ֣בֶר man b-alma בְּעַלְמָֽה׃ with-maiden

19The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

19곧 공중에 날아다니는 독수리의 자취와 바위 위로 기어다니는 뱀의 자취와 바다로 지나다니는 배의 자취와 남자가 여자와 함께 한 자취며

20 ken כֵּ֤ן such derekh דֶּ֥רֶךְ way-of isha אִשָּׁ֗ה woman m’na’afet מְנָ֫אָ֥פֶת adulterous akh’la אָ֭כְלָה she-eats u-mach’ta וּמָ֣חֲתָה and-wipes fiha פִ֑יהָ her-mouth v-am’ra וְ֝אָמְרָ֗ה and-says lo לֹֽא־ not fa’alti פָעַ֥לְתִּי I-have-done aven אָֽוֶן׃ wickedness

20Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eats, and wipes her mouth, and says, I have done no wickedness.

20음녀의 자취도 그러하니라 그가 먹고 그의 입을 씻음 같이 말하기를 내가 악을 행하지 아니하였다 하느니라

21 tachat תַּ֣חַת under shalosh שָׁ֭לוֹשׁ three rag’za רָ֣גְזָה trembles eretz אֶ֑רֶץ earth v-tachat וְתַ֥חַת and-under arba אַ֝רְבַּ֗ע four lo לֹא־ not tukhal תוּכַ֥ל able s’et שְׂאֵֽת׃ to-bear

21For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:

21세상을 진동시키며 세상이 견딜 수 없게 하는 것 서넛이 있나니

22 tachat תַּֽחַת־ under eved עֶ֭בֶד servant ki כִּ֣י when yimlokh יִמְל֑וֹךְ he-reigns v-naval וְ֝נָבָ֗ל and-fool ki כִּ֣י when yisba יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־ he-is-filled lachem לָֽחֶם׃ food

22For a servant when he reigns; and a fool when he is filled with meat;

22곧 종이 임금된 것과 미련한 자가 음식으로 배부른 것과

23 tachat תַּ֣חַת under s’nu’a שְׂ֭נוּאָה hateful-woman ki כִּ֣י when tiba’el תִבָּעֵ֑ל she-is-married v-shifcha וְ֝שִׁפְחָ֗ה and-handmaid ki כִּֽי־ when tirash תִירַ֥שׁ she-is-heir g’virta גְּבִרְתָּֽהּ׃ her-mistress

23For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.

23미움 받는 여자가 시집 간 것과 여종이 주모를 이은 것이니라

24 arba’a אַרְבָּ֣עָה four hem הֵ֭ם they q’tannei קְטַנֵּי־ little-ones-of aretz אָ֑רֶץ earth v-hemmah וְ֝הֵ֗מָּה but-they chakhamim חֲכָמִ֥ים wise m’chukkamim מְחֻכָּמִֽים׃ made-wise

24There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:

24땅에 작고도 가장 지혜로운 것 넷이 있나니

25 han’malim הַ֭נְּמָלִים the-ants am עַ֣ם people lo לֹא־ not az עָ֑ז strong vayyakhinu וַיָּכִ֖ינוּ yet-prepare baqqayitz בַקַּ֣יִץ in-summer lachmam לַחְמָֽם׃ their-food

25The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;

25곧 힘이 없는 종류로되 먹을 것을 여름에 준비하는 개미와

26 sh’fannim שְׁ֭פַנִּים conies am עַ֣ם people lo לֹא־ not atzum עָצ֑וּם mighty vayyasimu וַיָּשִׂ֖ימוּ yet-make bassela בַסֶּ֣לַע in-rocks beitam בֵּיתָֽם׃ their-houses

26The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;

26약한 종류로되 집을 바위 사이에 짓는 사반과

27 melekh מֶ֭לֶךְ king ein אֵ֣ין no la’arbeh לָאַרְבֶּ֑ה locust vayyetze וַיֵּצֵ֖א yet-go-forth chotzetz חֹצֵ֣ץ by-bands kullo כֻּלּֽוֹ׃ all-of-them

27The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;

27임금이 없으되 다 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기와

28 s’mamit שְׂ֭מָמִית spider b-yadayim בְּיָדַ֣יִם with-hands t’tafes תְּתַפֵּ֑שׂ takes-hold v-hi וְ֝הִ֗יא and-she b-heikh’lei בְּהֵ֣יכְלֵי in-palaces-of melekh מֶֽלֶךְ׃ king

28The spider takes hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.

28손에 잡힐 만하여도 왕궁에 있는 도마뱀이니라

29 sh’losha שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה three hemmah הֵ֭מָּה they meitivei מֵיטִ֣יבֵי comely-in tza’ad צָ֑עַד going v-arba’a וְ֝אַרְבָּעָ֗ה and-four meitivei מֵיטִ֥בֵי comely-in lakhet לָֽכֶת׃ going

29There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:

29잘 걸으며 위풍 있게 다니는 것 서넛이 있나니

30 layish לַ֭יִשׁ lion gibbor גִּבּ֣וֹר mighty babb’hema בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה among-beasts v-lo וְלֹא־ and-not yashuv יָ֝שׁ֗וּב turns-away mipp’nei מִפְּנֵי־ from-before khol כֹֽל׃ any

30A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turns not away for any;

30곧 짐승 중에 가장 강하여 아무 짐승 앞에서도 물러가지 아니하는 사자와

31 zarzir זַרְזִ֣יר greyhound motnayim מָתְנַ֣יִם loins o אוֹ־ or tayish תָ֑יִשׁ he-goat u-melekh וּ֝מֶ֗לֶךְ and-king alqum אַלְק֥וּם rising-up immo עִמּֽוֹ׃ with-him

31A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.

31사냥개와 숫염소와 및 당할 자 없는 왕이니라

32 im אִם־ if navalta נָבַ֥לְתָּ you-acted-foolishly b-hitnasse בְהִתְנַשֵּׂ֑א in-lifting-yourself v-im וְאִם־ and-if zammota זַ֝מּ֗וֹתָ you-devised yad יָ֣ד hand l-feh לְפֶֽה׃ to-mouth

32If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, or if you have thought evil, lay your hand upon your mouth.

32만일 네가 미련하여 스스로 높은 체하였거나 혹 악한 일을 도모하였거든 네 손으로 입을 막으라

33 ki כִּ֤י surely mitz מִ֪יץ churning chalav חָלָ֡ב milk yotzi י֘וֹצִ֤יא brings-forth chem’a חֶמְאָ֗ה butter u-mitz וּֽמִיץ־ and-wringing af אַ֭ף nose yotzi י֣וֹצִיא brings-forth dam דָ֑ם blood u-mitz וּמִ֥יץ and-forcing appayim אַ֝פַּ֗יִם wrath yotzi י֣וֹצִיא brings-forth riv רִֽיב׃ strife

33Surely the churning of milk brings forth butter, and the wringing of the nose brings forth blood: so the forcing of wrath brings forth strife.

33대저 젖을 저으면 엉긴 젖이 되고 코를 비틀면 피가 나는 것 같이 노를 격동하면 다툼이 남이니라
