잠언 16장 (Proverbs Chapter 16)

1 l-adam לְאָדָם to-man ma’arkhei מַעַרְכֵי preparations-of lev לֵב heart u-mei-YHVH וּמֵיְהוָה and-from-LORD ma’aneh מַעֲנֵה answer-of lashon לָשׁוֹן tongue

1The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

1마음의 경영은 사람에게 있어도 말의 응답은 여호와께로서 나느니라

2 kol כָּל all darkhei דַּרְכֵי ways-of ish אִישׁ man zakh זַךְ clean b-einav בְּעֵינָיו in-his-eyes v-tokhen וְתֹכֵן but-weighs ruchot רוּחוֹת spirits YHVH יְהוָה LORD

2All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weighs the spirits.

2사람의 행위가 자기 보기에는 모두 깨끗하여도 여호와는 심령을 감찰하시느니라

3 gol גֹּל commit el אֶל to YHVH יְהוָה LORD ma’asekha מַעֲשֶׂיךָ your-works v-yikkonu וְיִכֹּנוּ and-shall-be-established machsh’votekha מַחְשְׁבֹתֶיךָ your-thoughts

3Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.

3너의 행사를 여호와께 맡기라 그리하면 너의 경영하는 것이 이루리라

4 kol כֹּל all pa’al פָּעַל has-made YHVH יְהוָה LORD la-ma’anehu לַמַּעֲנֵהוּ for-its-purpose v-gam וְגַם and-even rasha רָשָׁע wicked l-yom לְיוֹם for-day-of ra’ah רָעָה evil

4The LORD has made all things for himself: yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.

4여호와께서 온갖 것을 그 씌움에 적당하게 지으셨나니 악인도 악한 날에 적당하게 하셨느니라

5 to’avat תּוֹעֲבַת abomination-of YHVH יְהוָה LORD kol כָּל every g’vah גְּבַהּ proud-of lev לֵב heart yad יָד hand l-yad לְיָד to-hand lo לֹא not yinnaqeh יִנָּקֶה be-unpunished

5Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

5무릇 마음이 교만한 자를 여호와께서 미워하시나니 피차 손을 잡을지라도 죄를 면치 못하리라

6 b-chesed בְּחֶסֶד by-mercy ve-emet וֶאֱמֶת and-truth y’khuppar יְכֻפַּר is-purged avon עָוֹן iniquity u-v’yir’at וּבְיִרְאַת and-by-fear-of YHVH יְהוָה LORD sur סוּר depart mei-ra מֵרָע from-evil

6By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

6인자와 진리로 인하여 죄악이 속하게 되고 여호와를 경외함으로 인하여 악에서 떠나게 되느니라

7 bir’tzot בִּרְצוֹת when-please YHVH יְהוָה LORD darkhei דַּרְכֵי ways-of ish אִישׁ man gam גַּם even oyvav אוֹיְבָיו his-enemies yashlim יַשְׁלִם he-makes-peace itto אִתּוֹ with-him

7When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

7사람의 행위가 여호와를 기쁘시게 하면 그 사람의 원수라도 그로 더불어 화목하게 하시느니라

8 tov טוֹב better m’at מְעַט little bi-tzdaqah בִּצְדָקָה with-righteousness mei-rov מֵרֹב than-great t’vuot תְּבוּאוֹת revenues b-lo בְּלֹא without mishpat מִשְׁפָּט right

8Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

8적은 소득이 의를 겸하면 많은 소득이 불의를 겸한 것보다 나으니라

9 lev לֵב heart-of adam אָדָם man y’chashev יְחַשֵּׁב plans darko דַּרְכּוֹ his-way va-YHVH וַיהוָה but-LORD yakhin יָכִין directs tza’ado צַעֲדוֹ his-steps

9A man’s heart devises his way: but the LORD directs his steps.

9사람이 마음으로 자기의 길을 계획할지라도 그 걸음을 인도하는 자는 여호와시니라

10 qesem קֶסֶם divine-sentence al עַל on siftei שִׂפְתֵי lips-of melekh מֶלֶךְ king b-mishpat בְּמִשְׁפָּט in-judgment lo לֹא not yim’al יִמְעַל transgresses piv פִּיו his-mouth

10A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresses not in judgment.

10하나님의 말씀이 왕의 입술에 있은즉 재판할 때에 그 입이 그릇하지 아니하리라

11 peles פֶּלֶס balance u-moznei וּמֹאזְנֵי and-scales-of mishpat מִשְׁפָּט just la-YHVH לַיהוָה LORD’s ma’asehu מַעֲשֵׂהוּ his-work kol כָּל all avnei אַבְנֵי weights-of khis כִיס bag

11A just weight and balance are the LORD’s: all the weights of the bag are his work.

11공평한 간칭과 명칭은 여호와의 것이요 주머니 속의 추돌들도 다 그의 지으신 것이니라

12 to’avat תּוֹעֲבַת abomination-to m’lakhim מְלָכִים kings asot עֲשׂוֹת to-commit resha רֶשַׁע wickedness ki כִּי for vi-tzdaqah בִצְדָקָה by-righteousness yikkon יִכּוֹן is-established kisse כִּסֵּא throne

12It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.

12악을 행하는 것은 왕의 미워할 바니 이는 그 보좌가 의로 말미암아 굳게 섬이니라

13 r’tzon רְצוֹן delight-of m’lakhim מְלָכִים kings siftei שִׂפְתֵי lips-of tzedeq צֶדֶק righteous v-dover וְדֹבֵר and-speaker-of y’sharim יְשָׁרִים right-things ye’ehav יֶאֱהָב they-love

13Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaks right.

13의로운 입술은 왕들의 기뻐하는 것이요 정직히 말하는 자는 그들의 사랑을 입느니라

14 chamat חֲמַת wrath-of melekh מֶלֶךְ king mal’akhei מַלְאֲכֵי messengers-of mavet מָוֶת death v-ish וְאִישׁ but-man chakham חָכָם wise y’khapp’rennah יְכַפְּרֶנָּה will-pacify-it

14The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.

14왕의 진노는 살륙의 사자와 같아도 지혜로운 사람은 그것을 쉬게 하리라

15 b-or בְּאוֹר in-light-of p’nei פְּנֵי face-of melekh מֶלֶךְ king chayyim חַיִּים life u-r’tzono וּרְצוֹנוֹ and-his-favor k-av כְּעָב as-cloud-of malqosh מַלְקוֹשׁ latter-rain

15In the light of the king’s countenance is life; and his favor is as a cloud of the latter rain.

15왕의 희색에 생명이 있나니 그 은택이 늦은 비를 내리는 구름과 같으니라

16 q’noh קְנֹה to-get chokhmah חָכְמָה wisdom mah מַה how-much tov טּוֹב better mei-charutz מֵחָרוּץ than-gold u-q’not וּקְנוֹת and-to-get binah בִּינָה understanding nivchar נִבְחָר to-be-chosen mi-kasef מִכָּסֶף than-silver

16How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

16지혜를 얻는 것이 금을 얻는 것보다 얼마나 나은고 명철을 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 더욱 나으니라

17 m’sillat מְסִלַּת highway-of y’sharim יְשָׁרִים upright sur סוּר to-depart mei-ra מֵרָע from-evil shomer שֹׁמֵר keeper-of nafsho נַפְשׁוֹ his-soul notzer נֹצֵר preserves darko דַּרְכּוֹ his-way

17The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keeps his way preserves his soul.

17악을 떠나는 것은 정직한 사람의 대로니 그 길을 지키는 자는 자기의 영혼을 보전하느니라

18 lifnei לִפְנֵי before shever שֶׁבֶר destruction ga’on גָּאוֹן pride v-lifnei וְלִפְנֵי and-before khishalon כִשָּׁלוֹן fall govah גֹּבַהּ haughty ruach רוּחַ spirit

18Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

18교만은 패망의 선봉이요 거만한 마음은 넘어짐의 앞잡이니라

19 tov טוֹב better sh’fal שְׁפַל to-be-humble ruach רוּחַ spirit et אֶת with anavim עֲנָוִים lowly mei-challeq מֵחַלֵּק than-to-divide shalal שָׁלָל spoil et אֶת with ge’im גֵּאִים proud

19Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

19겸손한 자와 함께하여 마음을 낮추는 것이 교만한 자와 함께 하여 탈취물을 나누는 것보다 나으니라

20 maskil מַשְׂכִּיל who-considers al עַל on davar דָּבָר matter yimtza יִמְצָא shall-find tov טוֹב good u-vote’ach וּבוֹטֵחַ and-who-trusts ba-YHVH בַּיהוָה in-LORD ashrav אַשְׁרָיו happy-is-he

20He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusts in the LORD, happy is he.

20삼가 말씀에 주의하는 자는 좋은 것을 얻나니 여호와를 의지하는 자가 복이 있느니라

21 la-chakham לַחֲכַם to-wise-of lev לֵב heart yiqqare יִקָּרֵא shall-be-called navon נָבוֹן prudent u-meteq וּמֶתֶק and-sweetness-of s’fatayim שְׂפָתַיִם lips yosif יֹסִיף increases leqach לֶקַח learning

21The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increases learning.

21마음이 지혜로운 자가 명철하다 일컬음을 받고 입이 선한 자가 남의 학식을 더하게 하느니라

22 m’qor מְקוֹר wellspring-of chayyim חַיִּים life sekhel שֵׂכֶל understanding b’alav בְּעָלָיו to-owner u-musar וּמוּסַר but-instruction-of evilim אֱוִלִים fools ivvelet אִוֶּלֶת folly

22Understanding is a wellspring of life to him that has it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

22명철한 자에게는 그 명철이 생명의 샘이 되거니와 미련한 자에게는 그 미련한 것이 징계가 되느니라

23 lev לֵב heart-of chakham חָכָם wise yaskil יַשְׂכִּיל teaches pihu פִּיהוּ his-mouth v-al וְעַל and-to s’fatav שְׂפָתָיו his-lips yosif יֹסִיף adds leqach לֶקַח learning

23The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips.

23지혜로운 자의 마음은 그 입을 슬기롭게 하고 또 그 입술에 지식을 더하느니라

24 tzuf צוּף honeycomb d’vash דְּבַשׁ honey imrei אִמְרֵי words-of no’am נֹעַם pleasant matoq מָתוֹק sweet la-nefesh לַנֶּפֶשׁ to-soul u-marpe וּמַרְפֵּא and-health la-atzem לָעָצֶם to-bones

24Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

24선한 말은 꿀송이 같아서 마음에 달고 뼈에 양약이 되느니라

25 yesh יֵשׁ there-is derekh דֶּרֶךְ way yashar יָשָׁר right lifnei לִפְנֵי before ish אִישׁ man v-acharitah וְאַחֲרִיתָהּ but-end-of-it darkhei דַרְכֵי ways-of mavet מָוֶת death

25There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it are the ways of death.

25어떤 길은 사람의 보기에 바르나 필경은 사망의 길이니라

26 nefesh נֶפֶשׁ soul-of amel עָמֵל laborer am’lah עָמְלָה labors lo לּוֹ for-him ki כִּי for akhaf אָכַף craves alav עָלָיו for-it pihu פִּיהוּ his-mouth

26He that labors labors for himself; for his mouth craves it of him.

26노력하는 자는 식욕을 인하여 애쓰나니 이는 그 입이 자기를 독촉함이니라

27 ish אִישׁ man-of b’liyya’al בְּלִיַּעַל ungodly koreh כֹּרֶה digs-up ra’ah רָעָה evil v-al וְעַל and-on s’fatav שְׂפָתָיו his-lips k-esh כְּאֵשׁ as-fire tzarevet צָרָבֶת burning

27An ungodly man digs up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.

27불량한 자는 악을 꾀하나니 그 입술에는 맹렬한 불 같은 것이 있느니라

28 ish אִישׁ man tahpukhot תַּהְפֻּכוֹת perverse y’shallach יְשַׁלַּח sows madon מָדוֹן strife v-nirgan וְנִרְגָּן and-whisperer mafrid מַפְרִיד separates aluf אַלּוּף chief-friends

28A perverse man sows strife: and a whisperer separates chief friends.

28패려한 자는 다툼을 일으키고 말장이는 친한 벗을 이간하느니라

29 ish אִישׁ man-of chamas חָמָס violent y’fatteh יְפַתֶּה entices re’ehu רֵעֵהוּ his-neighbor v-holikho וְהוֹלִיכוֹ and-leads-him b-derekh בְּדֶרֶךְ in-way lo לֹא not tov טוֹב good

29A violent man entices his neighbor, and leads him into the way that is not good.

29강포한 사람은 그 이웃을 꾀어 불선한 길로 인도하느니라

30 otzeh עֹצֶה shuts einav עֵינָיו his-eyes lachshov לַחְשֹׁב to-devise tahpukhot תַּהְפֻּכוֹת perverse-things qoretz קֹרֵץ moving s’fatav שְׂפָתָיו his-lips killah כִּלָּה brings-to-pass ra’ah רָעָה evil

30He shuts his eyes to devise perverse things: moving his lips he brings evil to pass.

30눈을 감는 자는 패역한 일을 도모하며 입술을 닫는 자는 악한 일을 이루느니라

31 ateret עֲטֶרֶת crown-of tif’eret תִּפְאֶרֶת glory seivah שֵׂיבָה gray-hair b-derekh בְּדֶרֶךְ in-way-of tz’daqah צְדָקָה righteousness timmatze תִּמָּצֵא it-is-found

31The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.

31백발은 영화의 면류관이라 의로운 길에서 얻으리라

32 tov טוֹב better erekh אֶרֶךְ slow-to appayim אַפַּיִם anger mi-gibbor מִגִּבּוֹר than-mighty u-moshel וּמֹשֵׁל and-ruler-of b-rucho בְּרוּחוֹ his-spirit mi-lokhed מִלֹּכֵד than-taker-of ir עִיר city

32He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.

32노하기를 더디하는 자는 용사보다 낫고 자기의 마음을 다스리는 자는 성을 빼앗는 자보다 나으니라

33 ba-cheiq בַּחֵיק into-lap yutal יוּטַל is-cast et אֶת (obj) ha-goral הַגּוֹרָל the-lot u-mei-YHVH וּמֵיְהוָה but-from-LORD kol כָּל all mishpato מִשְׁפָּטוֹ its-decision

33The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing of it is of the LORD.

33사람이 제비는 뽑으나 일을 작정하기는 여호와께 있느니라
