Ulsan City has released a comprehensive overview of approved apartment housing projects, allowing citizens to review the information at a glance. The city announced that it has produced and published the “Ulsan Apartment Project Approval Map” on its official website, enabling residents to easily understand the progress and scale of apartment developments across the city. This initiative is designed to help prospective homebuyers establish realistic housing plans based on accurate and transparent information.

The newly released map visually organizes all approved apartment projects by district, presenting essential details such as project developers, locations, development scale, and the number of housing units. By consolidating complex administrative data into a single, user-friendly format, Ulsan City has significantly improved public access to housing information while enhancing transparency in housing administration.

According to the city, a total of 107 apartment projects, representing approximately 45,000 housing units, have received project approval across Ulsan. Nam-gu accounts for the largest share with 48 projects and 15,000 units. Ulju-gun follows with 23 projects and 12,000 units, while Jung-gu has 20 projects totaling 12,000 units. Buk-gu includes 10 projects with 4,000 units, and Dong-gu has six projects comprising 1,500 units. For the first time, residents can easily compare these figures through a single, unified map.

Projects that have already been completed and occupied were excluded from the map. These include 12 apartment complexes totaling 8,000 units, such as Beonyeong-ro Centridge in Jung-gu, Daegongwon Hanshin The Hue in Nam-gu, Ubora Sincheon-Maegok in Buk-gu, and Aileen’s Garden in Ulju-gun. In contrast, only four new projects totaling 2,000 units, including the Ulju-gun KTX complex development, were newly approved this year, reflecting a decline in new approvals.

Ulsan City explained that the decrease is largely due to prolonged stagnation in the construction sector. Developers are proceeding more cautiously, prioritizing projects with stable demand and clear feasibility. Rather than expanding supply indiscriminately, approvals are increasingly based on careful market analysis and long-term sustainability. The city expects the approval map to serve as a practical reference for citizens seeking to understand these housing market trends.

The apartment project approval map can be accessed through the Ulsan City website under “Sector Information (Construction·Housing·Land) – Housing Permits – Housing Administration Information.” The city plans to update the data quarterly to ensure that citizens have access to the most current housing supply information.

An official from Ulsan City stated, “We aim to provide accurate and reliable data so that citizens preparing to buy a home can realistically compare housing supply and locations in their preferred areas. We will continue to systematically manage apartment project approvals to enhance transparency in housing administration.”

The release of the apartment project approval map is expected to benefit not only individual homebuyers but also the broader real estate market. By making objective data publicly available, the city hopes to reduce uncertainty and speculative expectations while encouraging rational, well-informed housing decisions. Ulsan City plans to further strengthen citizen-centered housing information services following this initiative.
