75.7% of Uiwang citizens positively evaluate the 8th elected municipal administration

It was revealed that 75.7% of Uiwang citizens gave a positive evaluation of the city administration of Uiwang City during the 8th local government election. Uiwang City conducted a public opinion survey on satisfaction with the city administration in the 3rd year of the 8th local government election, and the results showed that citizens gave high scores to Mayor Kim Seong-je’s city administration.

In this survey, urban development, improvement of living environment, creation of safe city, and implementation of welfare policy were the main factors. In particular, the construction of new railway networks such as Indong Line, Wolpan Line, and GTX-C received 34.7% of support from citizens and was selected as the best project. Welfare policies and citizen convenience projects such as free bus rides for the elderly and postpartum care support also received high evaluations.

Resident satisfaction also proved the livable environment of Uiwang City with 85.3% of respondents answering ‘satisfied’. While the pleasant natural environment and convenient road and transportation infrastructure were cited as the main factors for satisfaction, traffic congestion, inconvenience of public transportation, and lack of cultural and leisure facilities were cited as the factors for dissatisfaction.

Mayor Kim Seong-je of Uiwang City said, “This survey will be important data that reflects the voices of citizens and will be reflected in future city administration. I will do my best to meet the expectations of citizens and make Uiwang City the most livable city in the country.” This survey was commissioned to Daily Research and had a sampling error of ±4.0%P at a 95% confidence level.
