Incheon Seo-gu Cultural Foundation Cultural Arts Education Support Center announced the start of the ‘Seo-gu Dream Project’, a cultural arts education project that transforms everyday life into art. This program, which will be held at the Sinhyeon Seo-gu Dream Academy from September to November, offers customized workshops for various age groups and is open to the first-come, first-served basis.

Incheon Seo-gu Cultural Foundation Cultural Arts Education Support Center will hold the ‘Seo-gu Dream Project’ at the Shinhyeon Seo-gu Dream Academy from September to November 2024. This program, designed to allow access to art at all stages of life, is part of the ‘2024 Basic Unit Cultural Arts Education Activation Support Project’ selected by the Incheon Cultural Foundation. The goal is to provide cultural arts education to all age groups of local residents, from children to the elderly, through creative workshops.

The educational program is structured by life cycle and includes a variety of hands-on workshops. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis for Western residents, and all classes are held at the newly established Seogu Dream Academy, a dedicated cultural arts education space.

The ‘Eco-Camping Chair Making Workshop’ for Youth will be held on Wednesday, September 11th at 7:30 PM. This workshop aims to raise awareness of the ecological environment in preparation for the closure of large-scale landfills. In addition, youth interested in music can also participate in the ‘Village Logo Song Creation Workshop’ with singer-songwriter Hyang-ri (Lee Ji-hyang) on Saturday, September 7th at 2 PM.

Unleash your child’s creativity with ‘I am a Playful Inventor!’, a program that runs every Saturday at 2pm from September 21st to October 19th. This child-centered class encourages participants to invent and enjoy their own fun creations while nurturing their creativity in a fun and engaging environment.

Adults will have the opportunity to participate in the “Make a Special Calendar” program, which will run every Thursday from October 17 to November 14 at 2 p.m. The workshop will involve creating a personalized calendar highlighting important events in your life through writing and drawing, and will include one session in a local artist’s studio.

We invite seniors to the “Make Your Own Audiobook Autobiography” program, which will be held every Saturday at 2:00 PM from October 26 to November 23. This workshop, which will be held in a documentary-style theater, will provide participants with the opportunity to reflect on their life stories and record them as an autobiographical audiobook.

An official from the Incheon Seo-gu Cultural Foundation stated the program’s mission as, “The Incheon Seo-gu Dream Academy (Sinhyeon) aims to connect local residents in an easy and fun way and provide high-quality cultural and artistic education programs.” Community.”

The ‘Western Dream Project’ was selected as part of the 2024 Basic Unit Cultural Arts Education Activation Support Project, which focuses on improving cultural education opportunities throughout the region.
