Training volunteers to help the underprivileged and developing home repair skills for residents

Incheon Metropolitan City, Gyeyang-gu announced that it will start the ‘Village Housing Management Center Home Repair Basic Training’ program. This project aims to train volunteers to provide home repair services to the underprivileged and equip residents with basic home repair skills for self-reliance.

Gyeyang-gu Mayor Yoon Hwan started the ‘Village Housing Management Center Basic Home Repair Training’ program to train home repair volunteers for the underprivileged and provide residents with the repair skills necessary for independent living. Trust.

This training program follows a similar initiative held in July aimed at expanding the pool of volunteers with home repair skills. The course covers a variety of minor home repairs, including using basic tools, installing wallpaper and flooring, installing toilets and sinks, and installing door locks.

Applicants must be residents of Gyeyang-gu and at least 20 years of age. Interested individuals can apply by visiting the Gyeyang-gu Office Architecture Department in person or sending an email to kjjljh1@korea.kr. Training will be held at the Home Repair Education Center in Michuhol-gu every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from October 22 to November 8, 2024.
