Anseong Art Hall, 'Tchaikovsky Competition' Korean Winners Concert Held

Anseong Art Hall in Anseong City announced that it will hold the “Tchaikovsky Competition Winners’ Concert” at 7:30 PM on Friday, September 13th at the Anseong Art Hall’s main performance hall.

The Tchaikovsky Competition is one of the world’s three most prestigious classical music competitions, along with the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium and the International Chopin Competition in Poland. It is held in Russia every four years to commemorate the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893).

This stage will be the stage of the Korean winners of the 17th Tchaikovsky Competition held in Moscow in July 2023. Son Ji-hoon, 1st place in the vocal category, Jeong In-ho, 2nd place, Lee Young-eun, 1st place in the cello category, Kim Yeseong, 3rd place in the flute category, and Yesua, 4th place in the piano category will appear and fully display their winning skills. They will perform Tchaikovsky’s famous pieces together with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra led by conductor Jang Yoon-seong, and present a moving performance to the audience.

Meanwhile, Anseong Custom Art Hall was selected for the “2024 Regional Customized Small-scale Content Distribution” project hosted by the Arts Management Support Center and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, securing 45 million won in national funding.

Tickets for this ‘Tchaikovsky Competition Winners’ Concert’, where you can meet young performers who will lead the future of classical music, are 50,000 won for R seats and 30,000 won for S seats, and Anseong citizens can receive a 15% discount.
