Songsan 3-dong, 'Vacation N Civil Service Office Enthusiastic Study Cafe' successfully concluded

The Songsan 3-dong Administrative Welfare Center (Director Lee Young-jae) of Uijeongbu City operated the ‘Vacation N Civil Service Office Study Cafe’ for 5 weeks from July 22 to August 23 during the summer vacation period, receiving great interest and response from residents. This study cafe is a unique project to utilize idle space in the civil service office of Songsan 3-dong, and was created to provide local residents with a pleasant learning environment during the hot summer.

A total of 15 local residents used this space, including 8 job seekers, 5 students, and 2 members of the general public. The idle space in the civil service office was transformed into a learning café, providing residents with a special learning experience where they could focus.

In a user satisfaction survey conducted after the end of operation, all respondents answered that they were more than satisfied, confirming the high level of satisfaction of Yeolgong Cafe. One user said, “Thank you for providing such a good learning environment, and I hope you continue to operate it.” He also added, “The special experience of studying in the civil affairs office was very impressive.”

Park Hye-kyung, head of the Autonomous Civil Affairs Division, said, “I hope that this will be recognized as a comfortable and friendly civil affairs office where we can communicate most closely with residents,” and added, “We will continue to work to discover and provide various policies to improve the welfare of local residents.”

The successful operation of this ‘Vacation N Civil Service Office Open Study Cafe’ is a new attempt to strengthen communication with the local community and improve convenience for residents, and the continued operation of similar programs is expected in the future.
