The ‘Health Counseling Center in Naeson 2-dong’, which is being operated by the Naeson 2-dong Community Center (Director Kwon Hee-soon) in Uiwang-si to systematically manage the health of residents, is receiving a great response from local residents. This program is a close-knit health counseling service in which nurses affiliated with the community center directly provide ▲basic health status measurement (blood pressure, blood sugar) ▲customized health counseling ▲connection to community health and welfare services, and plays an important role in taking responsibility for the health of residents.

Until now, the ‘Health Counseling Center in My Hand’ has mainly provided services to welfare recipients, but since August, it has expanded its scope to include the general public. As a result, more residents have the opportunity to receive health care.

In particular, in order to provide more active services to residents, a five-day intensive operation period was set from August 19 to 23, and a counseling room was operated in front of the gym in the community center. During this period, a total of 69 residents received health counseling, and many residents expressed satisfaction after the counseling. One resident who received counseling said, “It’s reassuring to have a service that takes care of your health like a neighbor.”

Naeson 2-dong mayor Kwon Hee-soon said, “I am very happy that we can provide integrated welfare and health counseling to residents through the health counseling center in Naeson,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various resident-oriented programs to create Naeson 2-dong where all residents want to live.”

Naeson 2-dong Community Center plans to continue operating the ‘Health Counseling Center in Naeson’ until the end of this year, and also plans to operate a ‘Mobile Health Counseling Center’ that will visit multi-use facilities once a month to provide counseling. Through this, the plan is to actively support more residents to manage their health and lead healthy lives.
