Siheung City (Mayor Lim Byeong-taek) will be accepting applications for the ‘2024 Home Childcare Children’s Healthy Fruit Supply Project’ from August 23 to September 27.

This project aims to improve children’s healthy eating habits and increase consumption of domestic agricultural products by providing seasonal fruits in the form of packages to preschool children attending home care.

The target of the application is a preschool child who lives in Siheung City and is receiving a home care allowance or parental salary (cash) as of the date of application. Children attending kindergarten or daycare centers are already receiving fruit through the relevant institutions and are therefore excluded from the target.

Applications can be made at ‘Gyeonggi Civil Complaints 24 ( https://gg24.gg.go.kr )’, and if online application is difficult, you can apply by visiting the administrative welfare center of the child’s registered residence.

Siheung City plans to provide fruit packages to business targets selected through qualification verification on two occasions from the end of October to December.

Kyung-hee Cho, head of the Agricultural Policy Division of Siheung City, said, “Through this project, we expect that children will develop healthy eating habits by consuming fresh domestic fruits, and that it will also help expand sales channels for fruit farms.”
