On October 3, Incheon Gyeyang International Language Institute participated in the “2024 Public Library Book Festival – Chakbit Tara Araon,” attracting many families and children with its interactive booths. The festival was organized by the Gyeyang District Talent Cultivation and Lifelong Education Foundation to promote a reading culture in the local community and facilitate communication among residents.

During the festival, Gyeyang International Language Institute presented two activity booths under the theme of “Bookworm Adventures.” The first booth featured a photo zone inspired by the well-known story “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Participants could dress up in special costumes and take photos against a backdrop replicating scenes from the book, offering a unique experience of stepping into a storybook world. Additionally, a golden ticket scavenger hunt allowed children to have a Charlie-like adventure, with opportunities to win prizes through the event.

The second booth offered an “English Quote Bookmark Making” activity. Participants could write inspirational English quotes on bookmarks and keep them as a memento, fostering a sense of familiarity and interest in the English language. This program was especially praised for its positive impact on children’s interest in learning English.

The festival attracted over 400 participants, primarily families, who enjoyed a range of activities that combined books and English in a fun and engaging way. The presence of native English-speaking teachers allowed participants to practice English in a natural setting, which received positive feedback from attendees.
