This inspection activity involved the participation of the Bugok-myeon administrative authorities, local residents, and the police, who intensively investigated businesses in the hot spring area frequently visited by teenagers.

In particular, the main inspection items included ▲ compliance with the ban on entry and employment of minors at harmful establishments ▲ compliance with the legal labeling obligation to not sell alcohol and cigarettes to those under 19 years of age ▲ replacement of old signs ▲ implementation of ID verification procedures.

In the field, a detailed investigation was conducted on places where youth can easily be exposed to harmful environments, and in particular, it was thoroughly checked whether legal regulations were properly implemented in businesses where youth access was restricted. For minor violations discovered during the inspection, immediate corrective measures were taken, and if serious violations were discovered, strong administrative measures were announced.

Bugok-myeon plans to continue management and inspections to prevent youth from being exposed to harmful environments during the summer vacation season.

In addition, he once again emphasized the importance of youth protection to local residents and business owners and asked for their cooperation.

Bugok-myeon Mayor Kwon Tae-deok said, “We will do our best to ensure that young people can have a safe and healthy summer,” and “Through this joint inspection, we will focus on improving the harmful environment for young people and establishing safety and order in the local community.”
