Siheung City (Mayor Lim Byeong-taek) Geobuk Island Marine Festival has come to a successful conclusion. Over the three days of the festival from the 23rd to the 25th, approximately 40,000 people visited Geobuk Island Wave Park Square and Sihwa Lake, marking the end of the summer festival.

In particular, this festival was evaluated as a festival where visitors could fully experience the charm of summer, which is different during the day and night. During the day, visitors responded well to the cool marine leisure programs that made them forget the heat, and the experience programs that the whole family could enjoy together, and at night, performance programs were held, giving them special summer memories.

On the first day of the festival, the 23rd, ‘Summer Fashion Week’ was held. It was a program where each person could make their own summer fashion items such as beach bags, sunglasses, straw hats, and necklaces according to their own taste and walk on the runway set up at the festival site. It was especially popular with families. The whole family made special summer memories by taking pictures of their children walking on the runway.

On the last day, a cool water gun festival was held that blew away the heat wave. Not only those who applied in advance, but also those who applied on site enjoyed playing with water guns on Geobuk Island and made unforgettable memories.

The Geobukseom Marine Festival is also renowned for its high-quality performance programs. This year, the festival featured performances by famous singers and an EDM party that heated up the summer nights. And on the last day, a laser show and a fireworks show, the first of its kind on Geobukseom, brought the festival to a spectacular close.

In addition, the festival showcased the many charms of summer through a summer market, city promotion booths, and other summer-related events, such as a flying boat and moto surf show, a family gag show, and a magic show for a variety of things to see.

Meanwhile, this year marks the 30th anniversary of Sihwa Lake. To commemorate this, the city is holding the Geobukseom Four Seasons Festival and promoting various commemorative projects such as various forums. Geobukseom Marina Scenic Bridge is a hot place to view the most beautiful sunset on the west coast, and is promoting the local economy.
