Residents' Autonomy Council Practices Sharing Happiness with Knitting Class

Michuhol-gu Juan 2-dong Residents’ Autonomy Association (Chairman Kim Eung-gi) announced on the 26th that it held a knitting class for 15 residents in the district as part of the ‘Happiness Sharing Classroom where Learning Blossoms through Sharing’.

This knitting class is one of the pilot projects of the local autonomous council this year, and was designed to link customized education programs for all generations with community sharing. The education will be held six times in total, every Monday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. until September 13, and participants will make various knitting supplies and share them with their neighbors.

Chairman Kim Eung-ki said, “We will provide customized education to residents by opening programs appropriate for each age group,” and “We will also strive to create a warm community through sharing with the local community.”

Meanwhile, the residents’ self-governing council has also received great responses by operating various programs such as healing outings for vulnerable senior citizens in the district and children’s cooking classes, and plans to continue to provide various learning opportunities such as organizing and storage classes in the future.
