President Kim, who was elected as the 5th president in 2022, has successfully secured re-election, continuing her stable leadership within the Chinese-Korean community.

Distinguished guests at the event include Zhong Hongnuo, Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Korea, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor Choi Ho-gwon, City Council Chairperson Jeong Sun-hee, GK Group Chairman Park Chan-bo, Overseas Koreans Cooperation Center Director Kim Young-geun, and Senior Advisor Kim Kyung-hwan of the Federation.

In her address, President Kim declared, “Chinese-Koreans are not outsiders but partners who have taken root and grown alongside Korean society.”

She emphasized that the younger generation is already capable and ready to contribute, and vowed to foster unity and collaboration with overseas Chinese communities around the world.

President Kim added, “We, the Chinese-Korean community, are not foreigners. We are descendants of independence fighters who shed blood for Korea’s liberation during Japanese colonial rule. Our ancestors defended our homeland in faraway Harbin, and we continue their legacy—dreaming and building the future together on this land.”

This philosophy is reflected in all of President Kim’s work. She sees the Chinese-Korean community not as a temporary population but as a historically grounded, culturally responsible entity. Her leadership prioritizes unity, fosters intergenerational communication, and opens doors for youth while reminding elders of the power of solidarity and dedication.

She is a leader who always speaks of hope, believes in possibility, and leads the way toward a better future. Her positive spirit has become a driving force uniting the Chinese-Korean community and propelling its mutual growth with Korean society and the global community.

Since its founding in 2013, the Chinese-Korean Central Federation has worked to protect the rights of approximately 850,000 ethnic Chinese residents in Korea, operating under the slogan “Love, Harmony, Sharing, and Cooperation.”
This year, the Federation is preparing to launch a Next-Generation Leadership Program and host a Chinese Folk Culture Festival in celebration of the 33rd anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations.
