The barefoot walking trail operated by Namdong-gu, Incheon City is receiving a great response from residents .

According to the district office on the 23rd, there are currently 15 barefoot walking trails in operation in Namdong-gu .

Of these, seven were directly created by the district , and the rest are naturally occurring dirt roads such as Gyeongsin Mountain .

Due to the recent popularity of Earthing ‘, a barefoot walking exercise that promotes health and becomes one with nature, there has been an increase in requests from residents for the creation of barefoot walking facilities since last year, and Namdong-gu has created 7 new facilities this year alone .

The newly installed barefoot walking trail was made of yellow soil and sand , and a shoe rack, foot washing area , and resting chairs were installed to ensure the convenience of residents .

In addition , we recently inspected the facilities again and filled in areas where soil was lost due to heavy rains, such as during the July-August monsoon season, with fine yellow soil. We also installed brooms and other items on the walking paths so that residents can sweep and manage them themselves .

Mayor Park Jong-hyo said , It would be fun to exercise occasionally on the barefoot walking path near my house and to take the time to experience all 15 places in Namdong-gu . He added, We will manage it better in the future to ensure that there are no inconveniences in using it for a healthy Namdong-gu .
