The Yeongjong-dong Residents’ Autonomy Association (Chairman Lee Yoon-bae) of Jung-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City, conducted a ‘Cosmos Planting Volunteer Activity’ near the Jayeon-daero bus stop on August 3. This activity aimed to create a pleasant environment in Yeongjong-dong, and focused on planting cosmos in land where weeds were growing, to provide a better view for pedestrians.

Lee Yoon-bae, the head of the Yeongjong-dong Residents’ Autonomy Association, said, “This cosmos planting volunteer activity is also linked to the ‘Yeongjong-dong Flower Seedling Cultivation and Sharing’ project that the Residents’ Autonomy Association is promoting, and we plan to expand this type of flower planting activity in the future,” adding, “We will continue to work hard on volunteer activities to create a pleasant environment in Yeongjong-dong.”
A member of the Yeongjong-dong Residents’ Autonomy Council said, “Flowers can give a good impression to anyone,” and added, “We hope to further expand our volunteer activities to expand the area filled with flowers and further improve the environment by reducing the problem of illegal dumping of trash in the Yeongjong area.”
Yeongjong-dong Mayor Choi Jeom-ho said, “I would like to thank the residents’ autonomous committee members who are working hard to improve the environment of Yeongjong-dong, and I will not spare my support for volunteer activities.”
