Uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) has been selected for the 2024 Regional Science Museum Activation Project hosted by the Korean Association of Science Museums, and will hold an ‘Exhibition Content Traveling Exhibition’ at the Uijeongbu Science Library for two months starting August 30. This exhibition will install an exhibition piece of art in the form of cutting-edge technology (Digilog) that combines digital technology and analog emotion with the theme of climate crisis, providing an opportunity to directly and indirectly experience the climate change crisis in everyday life.
It is expected that citizens using the library will be able to enjoy a richer experience in addition to the existing experience through high-quality science experience devices. This exhibition was planned to effectively convey the climate crisis contained in famous paintings using Digilog technology and to enable citizens to feel the seriousness of climate change in their daily lives.
Park Young-ae, the director of the library, said, “I hope that this exhibition, which combines everyday experiences with famous paintings that we are familiar with, will provide an opportunity to learn about the causes of the climate crisis and the severity of climate change.” Through this exhibition, citizens will be able to experience a new form of experience that combines science and art.
