Yeonsu-gu ( District Mayor Lee Jae-ho ) concluded the 2024 Ulchi Exercise actual training with the training to accommodate and rescue residents of the five West Sea islands, assuming a surprise artillery attack in the border area, which started at 2:00 PM on the 22nd at Seonhak Gymnasium .
On this day, the training involved the reception and rescue of residents of the five islands in the West Sea, with approximately 100 people from seven organizations , including Yeonsu-gu , the Industrial Complex Fire Station , Yeonsu Police Station , the 17th Infantry Division of the Army , the Korean Red Cross , Incheon Red Cross Hospital , and Yeonsu-gu Volunteer Center, participating .
Together with relevant organizations, the training was conducted to respond to various emergency situations, such as ▲ confirming the identity of residents of the five West Sea islands , ▲ receiving relief supplies , ▲ occurrence of heatstroke patients , ▲ rescue of missing persons , and ▲ North Korean military camouflage and infiltration attempts .
Yeonsu-gu District Mayor Lee Jae-ho said, “ We must familiarize ourselves with the emergency response manual and faithfully practice it as if it were the real thing .” He added , “ Through this training, we will work harder to establish a disaster response system by strengthening each person’s role and cooperation system .”
