Anseong City announced on the 22nd that it successfully conducted the ‘National Civil Defense Training for Air Raid Preparation’.
This training was conducted as a comprehensive training for actual air raid situations, including civil defense evacuation training, vehicle movement control training, and fire truck path-clearing training.
Civil defense evacuation drills were conducted at Anseong Art Hall, and assuming an enemy air raid, the air raid warning siren in the Art Hall was sounded at 2:00 PM. Accordingly, Art Hall staff and users quickly moved to the underground shelter under the instructions of evacuation guides and situational transmitters and received basic civil defense training.
In addition, in the vehicle movement control training conducted at the Injisa intersection, the police, civil defense corps, and model drivers’ association cooperated to control traffic by inducing vehicles to stop on the right shoulder. In addition, training to give way to fire trucks was also conducted in order to improve emergency vehicle dispatch capabilities in emergency situations such as fires.
City officials said, “This air raid civil defense training was mainly conducted by civil servants, but since it is an important training directly related to the safety of citizens, we will continue to work to strengthen our ability to respond quickly and safely in an air raid situation.” They added, “We plan to improve any shortcomings discovered through the training and reflect the improvements in the next civil defense training.”
