The Goam-myeon Resident Autonomy Association of Changnyeong-gun announced on the 19th that 16 members and staff members visited Sangni-myeon, Gosung-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do on a field trip to an advanced region to strengthen the capacity of the Resident Autonomy Association.
In this tour, we visited the Sangri-myeon Eoullim Cultural Center and had time to benchmark the major projects and best practices being promoted by the Sangri-myeon Resident Autonomy Association.
In particular, the operation of various complex cultural spaces for local residents and tourists, such as a small library, campsite, and firefly festival operated by the Sangri-myeon Residents’ Autonomy Association, attracted great interest.
Lee Hye-yong, the head of the Goam-myeon Residents’ Autonomy Association, said, “We will use the achievements of the Sangri-myeon Residents’ Autonomy Association as a reference to develop the Goam-myeon Vitality Center into a complex cultural space that residents can enjoy together.”
Kim Yeon-ju, the head of Goam-myeon, said, “I hope that this field trip to an advanced region will serve as a foundation for the development of our myeon’s autonomous residents’ council.”
