Changnyeong-gun, Bugok-myeon announced on the 19th that it conducted a joint inspection by the public and police in the hot spring area to improve the harmful environment for youth and create a healthy social atmosphere during the summer vacation season.
This joint inspection focused on cracking down on illegal business practices in cooperation with the local community to protect youth and thoroughly checking for violations of the Youth Protection Act regarding harmful businesses and media.
This inspection activity involved the participation of the Bugok-myeon administrative authorities, local residents, and the police, who intensively investigated businesses in the hot spring area frequently visited by teenagers.
In particular, the main inspection items included ▲ compliance with the ban on entry and employment of minors at harmful establishments ▲ compliance with the legal labeling obligation to not sell alcohol and cigarettes to those under 19 years of age ▲ replacement of old signs ▲ implementation of ID verification procedures.
In the field, a detailed investigation was conducted on places where youth can easily be exposed to harmful environments, and in particular, it was thoroughly checked whether legal regulations were properly implemented in businesses where youth access was restricted. For minor violations discovered during the inspection, immediate corrective measures were taken, and if serious violations were discovered, strong administrative measures were announced.
