The Naeson 1-dong Residents’ Autonomy Council of Uiwang City held its 2nd Residents’ General Meeting on the 22nd in the conference room of the Residents’ Center. This general meeting was a great success, with over 200 people in attendance, including Mayor Kim Seong-je, Residents’ Autonomy Committee members, and residents. At the general meeting, village projects directly selected by residents were announced, as in last year, and activities carried out through the participation of residents were reported.
Based on the results of the referendum, the village projects for 2025 were selected as priorities, including ‘Our Neighborhood History Walk and Forest Experience’, ‘13th Galmi Open Music Festival’, and ‘Creating Family Happiness with Mom and Dad’, and will be fully implemented with city subsidies.
Yoo Heung-sook, the head of the residents’ autonomous association, said, “This general meeting was an important opportunity for the residents of Naeson 1-dong to directly participate and decide on projects for the village,” and added, “We will continue to do our best for the development of the residents’ autonomous association.”
Mayor Kim Seong-je said, “The city will not spare its support so that Naeson 1-dong can become a more livable village through resident autonomy.”
