Incheon Metropolitan City Jung-gu Gaehang-dong Administrative Welfare Center announced that on August 21, it conducted ‘Carbon Neutral Resource Recycling Education’ for 75 Gaehang-dong residents and members of the Gaehang-dong Committee of the Correct Living Movement.
This training was a place to introduce various methods that can be practiced in daily life, with the theme of resource conservation and environmental protection. The training content was composed mainly of practical measures such as waste reduction, waste resource energy conversion, the correct method of separating recyclables, ‘Bi·Heng·Bun·Mix (empty, rinse, separate, do not mix)’, and reducing the use of disposable products.
Additionally, instructions were given on how to use the unmanned transparent PET bottle collection machine installed in the parking lot of the Gaehang-dong Administrative Welfare Center, and education was also provided on various eco-friendly lifestyle methods.
Lee Deok-sun, chairman of the Gaehang-dong Committee of the Bargesalgi Movement, said, “I hope that this resource recycling education will raise environmental awareness in the local community and become an opportunity for carbon-neutral lifestyle practices to continue and not just be a one-time thing.”
This training is expected to play an important role in helping residents recognize the importance of resource conservation and carbon neutrality and to consistently practice these in their daily lives.
