Hanam City Citizen Participation Innovation Committee, Discovering New Challenges and Leading City Administration Innovation

The Hanam City Citizen Participation Innovation Committee presented a policy development strategy in five major areas , including establishing a strategic system to expand employment of local residents at a large-scale job fair scheduled to be held in the city in the first half of next year . According to Hanam City, the Citizen Participation Innovation Committee held its third regular meeting of the year in the city hall conference room on the 22nd and announced new proposal tasks selected by five divisions ( jobs , urban development , transportation , welfare and culture , and education ) .

The six proposed tasks for the second half of the year, derived from the subcommittee meetings held in July and announced this time, are as follows : △ ( Job ) Expanding recruitment of Hanam citizens and companies in preparation for the large-scale job fair in 2025 ( Urban development ) Creating a differentiated Gyo-san New Town through planned planting that takes urban design into account ( Transportation ) Improving the parking environment in downtown areas through a pilot operation of converting on-street parking lots to paid parking lots ( Transportation ) Pilot project for unmanned autonomous driving buses that circulate through major hubs such as subway stations ( Welfare and culture ) Promotion of digital education projects for students with disabilities ( Education ) Establishing and enhancing an online integrated education platform , etc.

Hanam City plans to closely review the new proposals presented by the Citizen Participation Innovation Committee and strive to reflect them in policies after the department in charge goes through a process of supplementation and maturation .

Mayor Lee Hyeon-jae emphasized, The Citizen Participation Innovation Committee, a policy think tank, is playing a major role in making Hanam City the most livable city in Korea by exercising collective intelligence based on its expertise. He added, Going forward, our city will actively work to reflect various ideas in policies and use them as a driving force for municipal development .

Meanwhile , the Citizen Participation Innovation Committee is a committee launched in December 2022 to propose policy development strategies linked to the city’s major projects and discover new policies . Hanam City plans to hold the 4th regular meeting in October to share the progress of the first half of the year’s planning tasks, and to hold an inauguration ceremony for the 2nd Citizen Participation Innovation Committee in mid December, when the term of the 1st Citizen Participation Innovation Committee expires .
