In addition, the works of Bridge On Arte, a group of developmentally disabled artists, were displayed in the city hall lobby, contributing to raising positive awareness of disabilities.
Public officials who attended the training responded positively, saying, “It was very impressive to see people with disabilities and people without disabilities working together,” and “It was an opportunity to reflect on my own prejudices while looking at the works of artists with developmental disabilities.”
A Seongnam City official said, “The effect of improving awareness of disabilities was greater when we directly saw and felt people with and without disabilities working together,” and added, “We will continue to strive to deepen understanding and consideration for people with disabilities within public institutions through this type of education.”
