The Goam-myeon Community Security Council of Changnyeong-gun announced on the 20th that it signed an agreement with the Changnyeong branch of the Gyeongnam Individual Taxi Transport Business Association to fully implement the transportation support project for the transportation disadvantaged.
This agreement is part of a project to provide taxi passes to selected vulnerable transportation groups, such as the elderly and the disabled, who have difficulty using public transportation, in each village, and is an important part of the village welfare plan that has been implemented annually since 2021.
Co-chairman Son Jang-ho said, “Since the satisfaction level of residents with the transportation support project for the transportation disadvantaged is high, we have allocated additional budget for this year,” and “The local community security council will work harder to provide welfare services that residents can actually feel.”
The head of the Changnyeong branch of the company, Chae Yong-hae, said, “I am happy to be able to volunteer and participate in a project that is helpful to the people of Goam-myeon.”
Kim Yeon-ju, the head of the township, said, “I hope this project will be of great help to the transportation disadvantaged in the region who need support for the right to move,” and added, “We will continue to discover and promote projects that are absolutely necessary for the township residents.”
This agreement is expected to provide better mobility support to the transportation-disadvantaged in Goam-myeon and greatly contribute to increasing the sense of welfare in the local community.
