Sejong City Transportation Corporation announced on the 26th that it will introduce new functions to make the ‘Nuri Call’ service, a special transportation method for the transportation disadvantaged, more convenient and safe. The functions being introduced this time include online application for use and a guardian reassurance text message service.
Previously, applications for NuriCall were only possible via phone or email, but now, applications can be made easily online through the NuriCall dedicated app and website. This is expected to allow users to register and use the service more easily.
In addition, Sejong City Transportation Corporation provides a free text message service that delivers real-time information on vehicle assignment, boarding, and disembarking, as well as vehicle location information, so that users and their guardians can feel safe. This service can be requested through the Nuri Call Counseling Center (1899-9042), and guardians can check the user’s movement path and status in real time, which provides great relief.
Sejong City Transportation Corporation President Do Soon-goo said, “We expect that the introduction of this Nuri Call online application and guardian text message service will resolve the inconveniences of the transportation disadvantaged and create an environment where they can travel with peace of mind.” He added, “We will continue to introduce and improve services that take safety and convenience into consideration to improve the convenience of transportation for the transportation disadvantaged.”
Meanwhile, Sejong City’s special transportation Nuri Call operation project is a public interest project selected by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance’s Lottery Commission and is operated with support from the Lottery Fund. Since its first launch in 2021, the project has been recognized for its efforts to improve the mobility rights of the transportation disadvantaged by receiving the highest grade of ‘Excellent’ in the 2023 Lottery Fund Project Performance Evaluation announced this year.
