Uiwang-si Ojeon-dong Resident Autonomy Association, 4th Resident General Meeting to be held in 2024

The Ojeon-dong Resident Autonomy Council of Uiwang-si held the ‘2024 4th Ojeon-dong Resident General Meeting’ at the Ojeon-dong Community Center on the 24th. This general meeting was held to select the 2025 resident autonomy village project, and was a great success with approximately 500 residents participating.

On this day, various experience booths and performances by students attending the resident autonomy center’s cultural course and students from the district were held as preliminary events. Next, the status of the 2024 resident autonomy council project and the 2025 resident autonomy plan were shared, and the results of the resident vote held in advance were announced.

The referendum was held online and offline from August 16 to 22, with a total of 552 residents participating. The following were selected as a result of the vote: ▷ Vacation Special Activity Experience ▷ Agricultural Products Direct Transaction Happy Market ▷ Ojeon-dong SOS ▷ Moraksan Healing Space Creation ▷ Moraksan Circular Trail Walking ▷ Night City Tour ▷ Multicultural Experience Cooking Class ▷ Astronomical Observation Project. They will be promoted in earnest after review by relevant departments in the future.

Lee Young-jong, the chairman of the residents’ autonomous association, said, “We will faithfully implement the projects selected through the interest and participation of residents to create a better Ojeon-dong to live in,” and Kim Seong-je, the mayor of Uiwang, said, “I hope that this general meeting will be an opportunity to enhance the autonomous capabilities of residents and work together to create a better Ojeon-dong to live in.”
