Gyeonggi Anseong Music Platform and Anseong Cultural Archives Open, a New Center for Music and Culture

The Gyeonggi Anseong Music Platform and Anseong Cultural History Museum began their full-fledged operations with an official opening ceremony on August 26. These two spaces are expected to become the new center of music and culture and arts in Anseong City.

The Gyeonggi Anseong Music Platform is a one-story building with an area of 935.75㎡, and is equipped with a musical instrument library, recording studio, conference room, multimedia room, ensemble room, and performance hall where citizens can freely rent musical instruments and create music. This platform will function as a venue where citizens can participate in creative activities and collaborate with local artists, beyond simply being a space for appreciating music.

The Anseong Cultural Archives is a 423.39㎡ space that has been reborn as an omnibus exhibition space for Anseong’s history and local materials. This space focuses on preserving the region’s historical assets and utilizing them as educational resources, and is particularly characterized by its exhibition composition linked to elementary school learning content.

The Gyeonggi Anseong Music Platform plans to develop various music programs in cooperation with local universities in the future, and the Anseong Cultural Archives plans to operate facility tours and experience programs for preschool and elementary school students starting in September. Through this opening, Anseong City aims to develop it into an important base where citizens can easily access music and culture in their daily lives and contribute to the revitalization of local culture and arts. Anseong Mayor Kim Bo-ra said she will do her best to make these spaces a center that promotes citizens’ creative activities and cultural exchanges.
